"The room is modern and spacious. Excellent location as it’s just next to the old town. Staff is very friendly. As we had 2 rooms, I’ve emailed to the hotel in advance to have it near to each other. It was nice that they did as the hotel’s layout is like a courtyard style. So you can imagine if one has to walk from one building to the other in the cold. It was also great that they had the WeChat services which enable guest to contact the hotel directly for any request. Thought the idea was excellent. Highly recommended! "

"We booked this stay for the last night of our anniversary trip! The accommodation is located within the old town, thus no cars are allowed to enter. However the hotel staff had already contacted me far in advance to arrange luggage pick up so arriving to the hotel was very easy! They also arranged a quieter room for us and surprised us with a cake too! We loved the stay, very different to your usual city hotels but regardless it had all the amenities we needed. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and location is quiet yet a stones throw away from tourist spots. "

"Super great hotel, the service and quality is spectacular. They are very friendly to cyclists, which is amazing to see. They let us put our bicycles in their garage, and did so with a smile. They are very sweet, all of them, the rooms and building are beautiful, and it’s in an excellent location, right near Lijiang old town. They treated us with great care, and the price was excellent. We got excellent recommendations about what local food to try. There’s even some cute cats, and Koi fish in their garden, a fantastic hotel, and I can’t wait to come back. If you use Amap or Apple Maps to navigate to the location, it directs you to “Chunjiang hotel”."

"This beautiful little hotel is built around a small courtyard that gives the feeling of a traditional Chinese home, with beautiful old woodwork and lattice bannisters and windows. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable, and the bathroom is large, with a self-flushing toilet. While the building is not soundproof, it is quiet at night. The ‘extras’ in this hotel include a nice deck for guests to sit and enjoy the wonderful container-garden with flowers and succulents. There is also a washing machine and racks, so travellers can wash their clothes without extra cost. The host is extremely helpful and offers free pickup from train station or airport as well as drop-off. Breakfast vouchers are for a Chinese buffet a few meters down the road; (another hotel cafe across the street offers espresso coffees.) Note: the Expedia map is a bit ‘off’: this hotel is located within the Ancient City, which is car-free, so luggage must be walked or rolled across old cobble stones for quite a distance, but the host is very helpful with this."

"I had an excellent stay overnight en route to my final destination. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was wonderfully comfortable. The lady at reception was really helpful to point me to the train station instead of a taxi for my final destination- much more comfortable ride and much less expensive. She also arranged a taxi for me to the station. "
