Great service and super clean. It was in a great location, close to a lot of the amenities that Zermatt had to offer. Many added perks to staying here from breakfast which is included with your stay, to the spa and tea time offerings daily. The rooms were sound proof, spacious and cozy. We would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Zermatt area.

We stated at Hotel Julen for 2 days May 7 & 8th to go up the Matterhorn. Our room was very nice and very clean, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast had everything anyone could desire. We had supper at one of the restaurants ( Schaferstube) in the hotel on our 2nd night. For those looking for a traditional Swiss atmosphere and food we would highly recommend it. We had the beef fondue which was excellent. Location is excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Julien is charming and the staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. The rooms are so nice, many extras that you don't see at other hotels. My only negative comment is that there didn't seem to be appropriate covering on the bathroom window for night time use, and it was difficult to reach close to the bathroom mirror to apply makeup.

The front desk person was grumpy. The spa and pool were closed. The restaurant had a TON of flies inside, and they messed up my order, giving me a meat dish when I ordered vegetarian. There was a half drunk Coke in the mini fridge. The shower handles cannot be reached unless already under the shower head, so you have no choice but to be hit with cold water. The toilet has a bidet button that can’t be reached from the toilet. There are so many places to stay, there’s no need to choose this place.

Hotel staff was great. Nuria was very informative on local activities and getting us to where we wanted to go. We were able to get to a viewing site for the Matterhorn thanks to her help. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were nice and spacious. One of the few hotels that I actually didn't want to leave, because I was comfortable there.

We stayed here for one night, and we were very impressed. The hotel was extremely clean, and the staff was fantastic: friendly, very welcoming, and helpful. My son is 6’5”, and he slept very comfortably on the sofa bed. The room was very spacious. A bridge with an excellent view of the Matterhorn at sunrise is nearby.

Absolutely a gem of a place. Our three person room was absolutely gorgeous with skylights that allowed you to see the peak of the Matterhorn and the stars at night from your bed. The room also featured large open air windows and a balcony overlooking the town. Truly the highlight of our 3 week European Vacation.

First class. This family owned hotel has mastered hospitality and obviously has excellent hiring and training programs. Staff was exceptional, food and service top notch. Naria at front desk is one of the best I’ve encountered. She was impressive in her manner and how she interacted and assisted guests.

This might be our favorite hotel of all time. The 10/10 reviews were exactly right. The staff from front desk to restaurant to housekeeping were friendly, courteous and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our little patio was nice for morning coffee and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Absolutely lovely. The hotel will pick you and your luggage u at the train station, simply call them when you are due to arrive.

Skiing in Zermatt

Great hotel and great service. The wellness area is very nice with a large indoor pool. This hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay in beautiful Zermatt. The location is great for walking around in the town. However, for skiing it is a little bit further from the lift to walk in ski boots, I recommend taking one of the many electric cabs. You could also stay in the Alpenhof which is from the same family and is very close to the ski lift.

Exceptional Hotel

The Hotel was to say the least exceptional. It was approximately 15 minutes from the train and an breath taking walk for views as they were phenomenal. It was later in the day on arrival. We had some clothes to be cleaned. We had checked in, they recommended the restaurant below on site. The room was awesome with 2 balconies, the room was not short of anything we needed for our stay, free mini bar (Hi Lite LOL). After dinner we returned to the room to find our clothes to be cleaned returned. We had a clear night to enjoy a beverage from our balcony and enjoy the views, a moon lit evening and stars just blazing. Awesome service! We enjoyed the pool and any amenity we could. The only thing i would change was the length of stay. We would have loved to be there for a week. Walking distance to anywhere was close.
