Their hospitality really sets this place apart. They are incredibly attentive, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our stay. ​The Rooms: Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home. ​The Setting: Relaxing on the patio overlooking the garden was a highlight. It’s the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a quiet sundowner. ​Whether you are visiting for a school event or just need a getaway in the mist-belt, Gateside is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back, thanks in large part to the fantastic service from the team! "

"Excellent unit with all amenities. A true home away from home and more. Staff are super attentive and ever obliging to assist to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as can be. Self catering units so you can prepare your own or they have an onsite restaurant/room service menu for the lazy days. Breakfast was superb with great options and well presented. The pleasure of having a “to go” option for early starts was really a blessing. The ambience and decor of the establishment was well thought of and blends in with the surrounding environment yet modern and attractive. Units are super clean and spacious. Location is perfect between Michaelhouse school and Nottingham road so makes travelling to either section a breeze. Once again a big thank you to the staff who made our stay so comfortable. We will most definitely be booking there again for our next visit to the area. Well done to all at the resort. "

"A little dissatisfied. There are fire places in the rooms as well as all public spaces but because it wasn’t yet the 1st of May (even though we were there over the Easter long weekend), we were not allowed to light them. (It was cold). No music / fires / atmosphere in the public spaces makes it cold & uneventful to go there. No walking trails on the property, so if you want to walk you need to drive to another. Your breakfast is complimentary but you must pay to have a cappacino (only filter coffee included- which as a coffee lover - honestly wasn’t very nice coffee at all). The steam room at the spa wasn’t working when we went for our treatments. The staff however are really lovely and doing their best to make it welcoming. If you’re happy to sit in your room all weekend then it is perfect, but for a more active couple, unfortunately it’s not the right fit. "
