I was able to spend comfortable time.

It was very good guest house. Good location, cleanness, staff atmosphere, Wi-fi are all good. It is very near to beach, local restaurant and souvenir shops. Although I stayed only 1 night, I was satisfied everything and recommended here. If I have a chance again, I'll come back. If possible, I wanna to stay slowly next time.

Hostel in a great location

Hostel located in the heart of the Stone Town. Very nice staff, kind and helpful. The breakfast was great as for the hostel! Eggs, sausages, fresh fruits, toast bread, jam, tee or coffee. Each bed has got the electrical power, own light and curtains so allows for privacy and comfort. Really good value for money.

Decent hostel - all shared bathroom

Decent hostel, although description on website did not match reality. Regarding room selection on the website, some rooms clearly state 'shared bathroom', while others were categorised as standard double room or basic double room. It should be noted that all rooms have 'shared bathroom' and this should be more clearly advertised to avoid other expectations.

Not very organized. Reserved three nights, but through a mistake in their system I was only able to stay 2. Weren't really apologetic about it. The room has a/c, but the rest of the hostel is hot and humid. Ok bathrooms and showers.

Convenient but noisy

I like the capsule beds but pretty creeky and scary window behind my bed so pretty noisy. Bathroom was modern but easy to get wet and dirty. Convenient location and stone town is great. Staff were amazing.

Very cozy place

We stayed at the place for 1 night and it was super cozy! The staff were very helpful in arranging the transport from the airport as well as advice on the places to eat, visit and just have a great time. Totally recommend the place to others.

There were 10 people in our party and we stayed in a room with 5 bunkbeds. Perfect for us! Air conditioning was a plus and the free WIFI reached the top floor. Great place to stay on our budget!

Basic, clean and a little noisy

Very basic, but clean and friendly. AC in dorms, but not in private double room. Experienced noise in the morning from people/staff sitting on the balcony outside the room windows (which could be accessed from the kitchen), which disturbed any efforts of trying to sleep after 8am.

Ishmael was amazing. He got us into the room quickly, helped us with laundry and told us see good places to eat and visit. Always see him with a smile, so very welcoming! Down fall is people can smoke in the balcany, which goes right into your room. You have to keep windows open because it gets too hot otherwise.

Tentoten Hostel is een fijne plek, vriendelijk en benaderbaar is de receptie. het gebruik van een ruime keuken is een pre, zeker in een warme stad; de watermeloen die in de ijskast mag en past... De locatie is eveneens heel goed, enkele stappen van het strand zowel als van de straten in het labyrint van de stad. Aanbevolen.
