Excellent place to relax. Friendly staff. Great view next to stone bridge dried river bed. Town is a stone house settlement in the mountains. Magnificent drive to get here. Great place to escape the heat of summer. Very recommended.

Fantastic place - spotlessly clean, scenic and extremely welcoming. We spent 5 nights here and were so impressed by the high standards of everything. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom new and the shower good. The breakfast buffet had everything from eggs to pastries. The host gave us excellent suggestions for sightseeing. The place is really well positioned for a wide variety of experiences- short hikes, long hikes, scenic drives. Overall we couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to come back.

Unforgettable

To visit the vikos gorge the next day we found this Unesco protected hotel, in an amazing village. It is the hotel we will remember forever due to ist location. Our hosts were very friendly and professional, the room was super. Since it is on a hill, this hotel is not for people who have trouble with many stairs.

We had a nice time. The hotel is very beautiful and located very close to nice hiking trails and the pretty stone bridges in the area. The room was also very nice but the beds are VERY firm, so if you need a soft bed to sleep comfortably it might be a problem. The type of service and food just doesn't match up with this being a 4-star hotel. Some of the negative reviews elsewhere could probably be helped by guests having a more realistic idea of what to expect by adjusting this listing, this is a cozy layed back family run guest house, not a 4-star hotel. We see many had complained about the stairs/ramp getting up, this is not a problem at all if you are a able-bodied person and means there is a great view from the hotel+++, but I can see how someone with mobility issues and/or small children would be put-off by the steep stairs etc., the hotels.com profile should just make this clear so people know in advance. The listing also states the hotel has a spa, which I guess is technically true as there is a basement room with sauna and a hot-tub but this seems to only be in use in the winter. There was also a sign for massage, but no staff there and we were never asked if this is something we wanted. The hotel also lists a "lazy river" as their facilities, however this is just the fact that there is a river next to the hotel where this is surely a fun activity when the riverbed is not dry, however, the dry period is much easier for hiking in the gorge! :)

The hotel does not inform you that access to the hotel requires a very steep climb. This was not easy with luggage. They should disclose this for folks who are handicapped or elderly.

Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt in traumhafter Lage

Unser Aufenthalt im Kipi Mountain Resort war einfach perfekt. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft empfangen – der Service war über die gesamte Zeit hinweg erstklassig: aufmerksam, persönlich und zugleich angenehm unaufdringlich. Auch unser Hund war willkommen und hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das außergewöhnliche Frühstück – liebevoll zubereitet, vielfältig, mit regionalen Produkten und serviert mit Blick auf die beeindruckende Berglandschaft. Die Lage ist ideal: ruhig am Rand des charmanten Dorfs Kipoi, mit wunderbaren Ausblicken über das Tal und die Steinbrücken, und gleichzeitig ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt, um die Vikos-Schlucht und die Zagori-Dörfer zu erkunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
