Dont stay!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was disgusting and dirty and I felt unsafe. Wanted a hotel close to the concert venue but I should have paid $40 more for a better and safer place a few miles further. There were drug addicts and homeless people everywhere and staying at the hotel going throw trash and selling drugs.

not nice place

it was overbooked i had reservation but they had no rooms they only reserve the premium room i had been driving for 14 hours and this was the only place within 50 miles of where i wanted to be... i showed up and the lobby was full of people waiting for rooms i told him i had reservations but he said they have no rooms they only reserve premium rooms i said i been driving forever ill take a standard room you can keep the premium room cash i got a room there was no bedding and no toilet paper i went to get these thing and he don't have access to the house keeping section so he gave me another standard room because there completely sold out of rooms right? the next room the bed was a mess it stunk and there were clothes all over the place. i think it it was someone else's room so back to the office for the third room that they don't have it was just after midnight and someone with reservations before mine didn't show up so i got his premium room witch was newly remodeled so newly remodeled that they didn't finish yet it was all good and clean but the door had no weather stripping and was right next to the office so i could hear angry people all night long because they had reservations and no rooms

Next to Caltrans yard

Disappointing, got bug bites, paint was pealing off toilet and shower enclosure. (must have been latex paint) sidewalk, parking lot garbage cans dirty!

Client Beware

The hotel is not location in Marysville proper and is situated in a place that is more run down and attractive to those whose luck in down. We found a car in the lot with two flats, abandoned for a couple of months. In our room, the spare toilet paper roll appeared to have been dipped in tea - or worse. The street the hotel is located on is actually a frontage road for the highway and road noise is constant. Rooms to the back are taken by those who are there for the long term as a primary residence. Otherwise the room was clean, the bed made, and we didn't need to contact the friendly staff for anything.

will never use expedia again!!!!! expedia did not have enough information about hotel and what kind of hotel it was!

Bad experience!

Had bed bug bites from staying here for a concert. Stayed here back in 2011 and was more decent. Now its run down with druggies everywhere. Dont be cheap and stay somewhere nicer!

I cancelled this reservation as soon as I arrived at the Rio Inn, because I did not feel safe at this residential motel. The best thing I can say is that the manager was polite and helpful and refunded my prepaid reservation.

Don't stay here!!

Motel is located in bad area. We didn't have another choice because all motels were full in town. TV didn't work, we were told twice by front desk someone would fix it. No one ever came. The breakfast room smelled like someone had been smoking in it so we didn't have the scarce complimentary breakfast. Not even paper cups in room for teeth brushing.

Horrible

Horrible. Dirty nasty rooms. People sleeping on sidewalks outside. Didn't feel safe at all.

Not what it was portrayed to be. Disappointing.

Noisy. Old and a bit run down. Not a 3-star property as advertised. People outside our room were rummaging thru the trash can. Cats running around knocking over trash cans outside. The front desk staff had trouble finding our reservation, so it took several minutes to check in.

Spend a little more.

Interesting stay. The room was fairly clean, but a little funky (microwave on a chair, gas station style toilet and some pretty nasty baseboards in the bath). No maid service the entire stay and one towel (no washcloth or hand towel either) to share with three people for three nights. I checked with the front desk, but after being told by the front desk that we got two towels (no there was only one, pretty easy to count), the front desk said they did not have towels and apparently the maids lock the front desk out of their supply closet. I also overheard the front desk warning a guest that they were not going to continue to give them toilet paper. There was a permanent community living in the back (bikes, shopping carts, decorations in windows, etc.). Marysville has a very large homeless community and perhaps the city subsidizes housing at cheap motels as all of the inexpensive motels seem to have the same type of reviews. The last night there, three fights erupted (lots of screaming and cussing...not great for my kids to hear), with no intervention from the motel or police. One of the other guests stepped in to quiet the noisy group and that ignited another noisy fight! Next time I'll spend the money on a higher class motel.

Disgusting roach motel

I stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago for a concert in wheatland. They had just done a Reno and it was niceish. This time it was so nasty and dirty. We arrive 4 mins early and they wouldn't let us check in early. There were nasty squattersthey looked like they were trying to kick out. We found dead roaches in the hotel room and dried loos splatter on the box spring in the morning, not to mention the beds were so hard I literally go to a bruise on my hip bone. The "breakfast" was also nasty - an assortment of stale muffins and gross coffee. When we checked out I told the woman about our problems and she didn't even offer a discoun or refund. Which I still want! DO NOT STAY HERE

Not a good night sleep. Hotel was too noisy.

Room was OK, certainly nothing special. 4 am guest from another room was throwing up outside. 6 am another guest was playing loud music. We would never return.

At least there's no bed bugs, and no roaches.

Room was OK. It looks like they had been doing some work on the place. The T stat had been disconnected from the AC unit and the wires were loose. The bathroom door didn't latch at all. Looks like it was turned around and reinstalled but an inch too low. The toilet leaked, it was the supply line not the bowl so it was clean water on the floor. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and the fan was hanging down about an inch. Also the sink wouldn't drain unless you lifted up on the stopper, the lever for it was bent and didn't work. Bed was comfy and the fridge and microwave were nice. Seems like they had some weekly or monthly tenants, getting woke up by kids playing at 7am was unexpected.
