"Quite simply a very good hotel. Well located for rail station and then the city centre and thereabouts easily accessible on foot. Reception was good, breakfast had a great selection of the usual stuff plus a hot food menu option. Room was well equipped and clean. Went for the club deluxe option which did not disappoint. Happy to recommend. "

"Room was immaculate, amazing view of the zoo. Fully stocked with tea coffee and hot chocolate and jammy dodgers were a win for my son. Staff are so friendly and helpful… I put a note in my booking comments that this was a surprise from Santa brought by the elf, asked if a note could be put in the room ( did not think it would be read) There was a card from Santa on the bed when we got in the room…Christmas magic "

"Lovely hotel, great reception and room service staff. Friendly and very helpful. We had a king size courtyard room which was clean and had a fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Parking available at hotel but limited or car park at the Mount School which always had spaces. The walk into York took about 25 minutes. Only small criticism was the bar ran out of drinks including sauvignon white wine. Other than that would definitely come and stay again."

"Lovely people who make you feel very welcome all exceptional with exception of young lady on reception who twice have us directions for the car which tripled the distance and walk unnecessarily. "

"Nice room, clean, quiet, iron, kettle and hairdryer... Nice chill area downstairs, nice seating area outside, weather permitting... On main bus route for into town 15mins or so...a spar and a few nice pubs also on the main road from the hotel.. I would defo stay again 👍👍👍staff nice and friendly. "

"Have stayed previously. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Breakfast good with plenty of options. Only minor criticism being room service food trays left in corridors."
