Happy with the stay. Except spa booking is confusing. Went to front counter at ground floor, the staff said spa is open, can go directly. But when went to the spa floor, the staff there said is not open (during spa operation hours), but can check with front desk at ground floor. Anyway, not critical, so not bother to go back to front desk at ground floor. I believe there is a communication problem.
Overall, the stay in ibis Yogya is wonderful. Great location.

Great location within (a long) walking distance of major city sights. Attached to a mall with many restaurants and shops. Helpful and courteous staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Only downside is late night music from 2nd floor restaurant which can be remedied by earplugs for those of us who are noise-sensitive. Or request a room on the back side of the hotel.

Great location to stay
The location is great as it's central of Yogya surround with market, shops & next to shopping mall. The only setback was there were small ants at the desk, aircon not working on the 1st day, after repaired, can't adjust temperature, hand towel always missed after the daily cleaning. Overall, i should say it's ok but if those i mentioned taken care, would be great place to stay.

We stayed three nights here. It is easily located off Malioboro Street and close to all the attractions.
Did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.
The only issue was on our last night. They are building an extension to the hotel next door and they were working on this till gone 1am in the morning. If you are a light sleeper then you definitely want a room on the other side of the hotel.
Overall it's the service you expect from an Ibis, clean, comfortable rooms.
I would recommend this as a good base for staying at. Five minute walk from train station which is why I picked it.

There was some building work going on behind the hotel which reception warned us would be ongoing until midnight... The pool area is a bit run-down, but other than that, we found it to be a wonderful hotel with the reception staff being highly professional, friendly and helpful

Fantastic location
The best part of this hotel s the location, which is right on the Malioboro street. This gives opportunity for shopping and food. The hotel is like any other ibis hotel - an average hotel. The stay was comfortable and the staffs are very good and friendly.

Strategic location as it's connected to a local shopping mall Malioboro. Easy to find food within surrounding area and lots of local food selling in local style.

Though I find IBIS Maliboro a great place to stay because of the location and its activities, fantastic staff and service, they gave us a room and there was construction happening outside till 10pm which contributed to noise and restlessness. The other thing is also when in the payment the estimates showed 51SGD when I went to pay it became 60SGD , not sure why. If you get these things sorted out....I recommend ibis highly.

Convenient for shopping but needs major upgrade.
Hotels.com rated this hotel as Very Good (4) but other than its excellent location, the hotel needs an extensive upgrade. The bathroom was very small, the bathroom door was damaged, each time the neighboring room flushed the toilet, ours made flushing sound as well, the carpet on the hall way was old and appeared ran down. The hotel does not have a business center. Also, the swimming pool water appeared dirty.

Read many other reviewers saying that the hotel property is dated and need a makeover. I find it quite acceptable and the room is very clean. I am very particular about the bed quality and Ibis scored very well with it's super comfortable bed and beddings. We need to factor in the cost when we rate a hotel and it is definitely value for money

The hotel stay was comfortable - stayed four nights in total. Wifi connection was quick and fast. Breakfast was passable. Unfortunately the first towel reeked of cigarette smoke but subsequent ones were okay. The hotel also has put in place sustainable practices (environmentally firendly)! right next to Malioboro Mall, where the lobby connects to level 1 of the mall so that's convenience right at the doorstep. Only a stone throw away to Beringharjo market and Mirota Batik too :)

Rooms were clean but could use some updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel very close to all the Malioboro street shopping. Internet speed was good.

On a busy street. A bit old but clean.
There are spa, gym, sauna and pool on 5th floor. Can request for masseur to massage in your hotel room.

Smack dab in the heart of Jogyakarta. A mall next to it, busy Malioboro two steps away, even so close to Keraton, yet offer a peaceful ambiance once you walk into the hotel grounds. Good customer service.

Nice hotel. Convenient location
A good hotel to stay in for travelers on a budget. This hotel is linked to the Malioboro mall which leads into Malioboro street. It is a convenient location with lots of trishaws to take you anywhere. The swimming pool is rather small. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Good hotel with a great location. The hotel has it's own entrance to the mall. Good beds with quality linen. Bathroom is a bit dated and the drain of the shower didn't drain. Laundry service was excellent and fast, restaurant gave us a discount. Overall, a great stay.

Just a walk from malioboro street, many street foods at night and like creative street music bands. Easy transportation from airport, just take TRANSJOGYA, line 1A, and stop at Malioboro 1 station and walk around 100m. The staffs hotel are friendly
