We stayed in the main hotel, shared bathroom, the room is so quaint and having a shared bathroom was not an issue for us, there are two stalls, two showers, never waited to use the facilities.
Incredible historic hotel. Room was adequate. Comfy bed, hot water in shower. Very clean. Buffet dinner in dining room overpriced for mediocre food. No WiFi available. Convenient location in the heart of Yellowstone, so worth a few minuses.
I feel like, we were time traveled back to 18th or 19th century. It was lack of modern amenities, no wifi, no AC, only radiator heater.
It would be best for those who prioritize historical charm and atmosphere.
Customer service was also excellent.

Liked: Staff & service
It’s an old historic inn. So, the modern conviences are lacking. But it is an iconic hotel so it’s expected. Food options are limited and expensive
It was nice to stay in a historical property at a convenient location to watch the Old Faithful. Indeed, we watched its eruption 4 times at different time of the day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were good. Above all, cannot beat the location - there is a huge benefit of taking the time for watching the geysers and relaxing from staying overnight at this property.
Very easy access to upper geyser basin and old faithful.
No wifi in the inn, not a lot of choice food in the restaurant at the inn at the end of the season ( end of September) . However excellent options for food at snowlodge , so had to walk a distance to get a good meal
Had excellent barista, bar, gift shop and great deck to watch old faithful errupt
Beautiful, old, classic hotel. Right at “Old Faithful” geyser, viewable from the upstairs deck, not to be missed!
Our room was in the old area, with the bathroom down the hall. We were aware of this and it was fine for a night or so. The room was nice, and quiet, all wood paneled. The dining room was beautiful and the food was well prepared with good service. A great place in Yellowstone to stay.
Great food and tons of great hiking trails in the area. Grab a drink for sunset on the second story bar patio and watch Old Faithful go off before your dinner. Amazing hotel and highly recommend!
It’s an old building so I understand plumbing and rooms may be outdated but rooms mainly the flooring , pillows, linens and beds desperately need a revamp. We really didn’t sleep well the three nights we stayed however keep in mind location and staff were excellent. Few good food options was also a downside but the location and nightly concerts in lobby were enjoyable
