The rooms were clean and comfortable but we were there the week before it closed for the season and there was no staff to service us. Dinner was horrible. We waited in line for quite a long time for a smooshie Chinese stir fry that we had to take back to our rooms to eat. Yes, the dinner was free but not worth even that. No sooner had we sat down when the power went out. Not for long but it was the icing on the cake. We didn’t even bother with the free breakfast. I understand that covid has changed things but for the money we paid I expected much better. Stay at the Holiday Inn at the west entrance for a much better, more comfortable stay.

Did not like the fact that there was minimal food service. Had to drive 30 miles to get a decent meal. There was no servicing of the room during the entire stay. These facts should have been disclosed at the time of booking, not after arrival at the remote property.

Too much noise from buses dropping off tourists, backing up etc.

It was in the perfect location in the park. Fairly central to getting around places. The lodge was clean, staff was very helpful. There was no tv or WiFi in the rooms but that was awesome. Disconnect from the world and go out from sun up to sundown and enjoy nature. That’s the whole point of being there!

This is a nice new lodge compared to most National Park lodges. The rooms are large, comfortable and nicely decorated. However, there is no wi-fi in the rooms (or TV), only spotty wi-fi in public areas - the lobby or outside on the patio - which meant we had to put masks on and congregate with a bunch of other people in order to get wi-fi. This seemed ridiculous during very high Covid numbers in Wyoming. Also, due to lack of staff, the only food option available was a take-out cold breakfast and a take-out hot dinner, with the same 3 items on the menu every night. It was offered free but also required queuing in an enclosed cafeteria for 30 mins at a time so we only did it twice. The rest of the time we made sandwiches in the room since there wasn't a microwave. At over $400 a night, this wasn’t the experience we expected for the price.
