「Lovely place to stay for our safari. Gorgeous pool. Good clean rooms. 」

「We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. On leaving, they were able to arrange transport to our next hotel. The recently extended and beautifully decorated hotel is located in a quiet area...

「Perfect location. Walking distance to town, the temples and the lake. Restaurant offered a variety of food choices and the dishes we had were excellent. Amazing pool, outdoor space. Super helpful/friendly staff. Internet very good in room. 」

They arranged our safari request to a not-frequently-visited area in Yala National Park and we were very pleased with that. The Hotel is conveniently located within relatively short distances from Yala and several other parks and sanctuaries.」

Værelset var fint og nydeligt, der var en lille altan, med bord og stole, en god og behagelige seng, et pænt bad og et godt toilet. Da vi ankom sprang vi direkte i deres lækre pool, den var varm og behagelig, da solen stod højest Dagen efter sprang vi også i poolen der var den dog ikke så varm, solen var nemlig ikke så meget fremme Ejeren af stedet var meget venlig og meget interesseret i at høre...

「The most comfortable beds I’ve experienced in a long time, and also compared to many 5-star hotels I’ve tried, this place had very simple but spacious and comfortable rooms with good AC, huge beds and nice balcony. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Can recommend this place if you are visiting this area! 」

「Awesome property and owner. The person was so nice. He saved the day and we slept through our alarm in the morning, and gently knocked on our door to make sure we were not missing out on the safari. He even gave us bus tips to get to Ella in the evening. And we had a lovely chat with him in the afternoon on his veranda while staying cool from the sun. He’s a great guy and very caring for his guests. Very highly recommend this place! 」

「had a short stay at kithala and we were given a very warm welcome by the front office team .. they make you feel at home and invited us to light the Oil Lamp which is a symbol of respect ..it was very special ..wish we had stayed for few more days !! 」

「The manager and staff were super nice which is really what made our stay. They went over and beyond to make us comfortable. The facilities are average but some of it does need an update as the A/C units are really loud and the curtains aren't in great condition. Also the Wi-Fi didn't work in the rooms and so to use Wi-Fi you need to go to the common area which in the evenings gets a TON of mosquitoes so that wasn't idea. But the pool was nice and landscaping was well-maintained. 」

「Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!」
