"The view is fantastic, and the management is very professional and helpful before, during and after your stay. Also, the yard in front is big and has a lot of toys and equipment for kids and family to use. The one thing I would take note of is that you cannot control the room heat on your own, because it is a pension and not a hotel. Nevertheless, you can have your the temperature changed quickly by texting the staff. This is a feature of basically all pensions. I highly recommend Opirus,...

"It was a bit tricky finding the entrance at first and had to go down a steep hill. There's a large parking space. The entire place looked really pretty. The room structure was unique. There is a balcony with a fantastic view of the mountains and a stream. You can have bbq at the balcony for extra fee. It would be great to visit in the summer and swim in the stream! There were a lot of spider webs between the trees. It's really eco-friendly. "

HOTEL THE BOTANIK SEWOON MYEONGDONG

8/10 Good

"Nice hotel, very well located. Breakfast was good, good co-working space. Improvements - second bedroom isn’t ventilated, had to crank up living room AC to get some air in the room."

New Blanc Central Myeongdong

8/10 Good

"The room is modern and I like the bathroom (although could do with some washcloths and more towels) but my only complaint was that this was NOT Central Myeongdong as the hotel name implies--it's a very quiet residential area that almost looks a bit seedy, with not much going on as it is mostly printing and furniture shops. Very local, which is cool but not useful for tourists. Good thing is the subway is a 3min walk away but I'd prefer to have more coffee places, shops, restaurants etc around a hotel I stay at."

Crown Park Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

8/10 Good

"Hotel itself ideally located for most things, but even in deluxe room furniture pretty basic, but beds comfy. Breakfast was OK but no Black/Breakfast tea, only Earl Grey or fruit teas, Coffee from machine was lukewarm but if you ask for hot milk they will bring it. After a long day site-seeing was disappointed to find that there nowhere to get a drink in evening, small lounge on 17th floor but only sold spirits. oh for a glass of wine. Most of the staff had reasonable English, whereas I had no Korean, and were very helpful."

Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Seoul Myeongdong

8/10 Good

"Good not great - I booked one of the character themed rooms on the 14th. These are more expensive. The themed decor is excellent. However the room is not really fit for two adults - only one wide table and only one charger near the bed. The chargers on the desk didn’t work and the far charger near the tv was low voltage and so took a she to do anything. The air con is centrally maintained and during our stay was too cold. Also the vents don’t appear to have been cleaned. When opting to open the window this is behind the desk and if open the curtains aren’t thick enough to keep any light out with the window closed (the window has a blind on it). The entire room (likely as the window is never open and the air on never cleaned) is very musky and humid. A dehumidifier is provided but with the lack of functional plugs it wasn’t possible to use this. The bathroom was fine but the shower head desperately needed cleaning. The real selling points of this hotel were the location and the excellent buffet breakfast"
