"It's brand new, so the hotel is very nice, but the area has no restaurants and isn't convenient to tourist sites. They demanded a large "deposit" when we arrived, although we paid for the room already through hotels.com. Then they tried to pay this back online, it didn't work, then the manager came ..."

"This is by far the BEST hotel we've stayed in in Datong and in China! Its also the BEST Holiday Inn as well. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room very confortable and accessible.. Quite hotel too... we stayed a week and slept so well. Its easy to catch and Uber or walk around the neighborhood. ..."
