"Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Tea Cloud. The room was the largest room I have ever seen in Asia with 2 very comfortable KING SIZE beds. Mr. Liu was very helpful and friendly. Reading the reviews I had noted some complained of thin walls; however, I am a light sleeper and did not have any issues with noise interrupting my sleep. We also had a wonderful tea tasting and bought some aromatic oolong tea. If you are looking for a place to stay in Alishan, don’t hesitate to book with Tea Cloud."
"There are multiple buildings in this property, all require a bit of walking. Make sure that you don't carry a heavy suitcase. As the property is built along the mountains, some walkways can be difficult with heavy luggage. Yet, the friendly staff will drop off the luggage as close to the buildings as possible. There is no restaurant close by but the property offers hotpot dinner (one person per pot) which is pretty good, big portion too. Since the property is deep in the mountain, I would recommend aim at arriving the property before dark. Close to the property (about 20 min walk), there is a trail that leads to a spot where sunrise can be viewed. However, the signs are not that clear. Clarify with the staff the night before you go. All in all, this hotel is good, room is clean with good mountain view."
"There was a night firefly walk included and guided hikes as well. The staff was great and spoke English well, but also spoke about us in Mandarin not knowing we also understood. Only mentioning that they were surprised we would show up in Taiwan with such a horrible president. While we agree about the horrible president part, it was still a bit rude. The room had a rustic feel, and we were able to have the cool mountain air come in the windows when it wasn’t raining too hard. Hard rain made the window sill and floor wet. We came during June, and didn’t need any AC. Great location. Watch for leeches if you hike in the forest during rainy season. We found out they sneak on to you from the under brush. Breakfast was 7-11 vouchers, but we would have rather had the money so we could spend it locally on the people. We found a great onion egg pancake just down the street when we ran out and of vouchers. We would stay here again"
"The hotel was spotlessly, clean, the pool and hot tub on the rooftop were wonderful, particularly when you watch the sunrise. The rooftop bartender was engaging and entertaining, very fun. The staff at check-in and check out efficient, kind, and delightful."
