Loved this beautiful cosy dog friendly cottage and all the extra thoughtful gestures the owners had for us when we arrived. Great enclosed yard for our dog and thoughtful dog supplies there for us to use. Very considerate hosts who thought of everything. Would highly recommend. Close to town but far enough away for the quiet and serenity!

Very Clean, tidy and most comfortable beds, extremely pet friendly, excellent presentation of supplies in the fridge, particularly the Cadbury Favourites, and on the kitchen bench, must have known I love a good Red. Full marks to Russ & Pauline we will be back and recommend to others in the Murray River Retriever Assocation.

Lovely stay

We were welcomed for our stay and all our needs were met. Lovely to have a secure yard for the dogs to run around safely in. Kelpie Cottage was clean and tidy upon arrival and is located in a wonderful quiet and peaceful environment. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Wonderful stay for pet owners visiting Mt.Gambier

Property is well located in a calm private place near Mt.Gambier. Plenty of space around the house to walk the pets or play with kids. Pet owners would love a stay here with plenty of space with fence.

Loved it!

Such a beautiful place to stay and so nice to hear the stories of all the animals from the hosts. Really appreciated the provisions as we had a full car so didn’t bring much food, plus the secure yard for the doggo was brilliant to know they didn’t need to be on lead the whole time. Highly recommend it as a place for travellers with dogs.

Had the best time with our 3 kids and dog. It was so nice knowing our dog was looked after in a very secure yard when we went out. Provisions were incredibly generous. Loved seeing the beautiful animals at the property. Beds are so comfortable. Location is perfect. Owners were lovely and very helpful. Thank you for having us.

Mt Gambier Experience

Russ and Pauline are a lovely couple. They provided us with adequate information to reach the property. The fridge was filled with bread milk, eggs, wine..Kids loved feeding the sheep and having a tour in the farm. Our little pup loved his stay too

Lovely stay, very homely

Friendly host whom we were fortunate to meet on arrival. Such a warm & welcoming stay for our family of 4 & 2 pups. Our dogs felt so at home as the amount of care for pets at this property is outstanding. Beds were super comfy & the house was very clean. Our kids loved the area as there is plenty of farm animals around. Thank you so much for our special stay & the extra special touches on arrival. Bread, wine, chocolates, milk & condiments really added to the homely stay…oh & especially the fresh eggs. Thank you!

Beautiful Quiet Location

Lovely, quiet place just outside Mount Gambier. Nice big secure yard for the 2 dogs. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, lounge room and shower. Nice gesture of breakfast goodies, chocolates and wine on arrival. Pauline greeted us at the gate and was a good communicator from start to finish. Best place we have ever stayed.

Kelpie cottage was the most amazing place we have ever stayed. Russell was so kind and very caring and went above and beyond for us. The cottage was clean and inviting and loved all the dog related decor. It was great having a huge secure yard for the dogs to enjoy. It's also in a great location, close to Mount Gambier and surrounded by amazing farm land. We would recommend this place to anyone especially if you are staying with pets! Our 2 pups loved exploring and we cannot wait to be back in the near future! You will not regret staying here!!

PEACEFUL COTTAGE

We spent 5 nights at Kelpie Cottage with our dogs. The accommodation provides everything you could need for a short stay. Electric stovetop proved a little problematic (couldn’t get the heat down low enough) but everything else was great. Bottle of wine, breakfast supplies, firewood, lovely comfy recliner chairs, nice hot shower, comfy bed. We had business to do in town and the cottage filled the bill nicely.

Thoughtful touches

Thanks Russ & Pauline. The little extras, communication and thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated. The property and walks were enjoyed by myself and our fur baby whilst the boys were off mountain biking. The location is serene but only a short drive to the action in town. Everything was comfortable and accommodating. We’ll be back next October long weekend. Thanks again for having us :))
