The room was nice, except the fact it was two single beds put together, very uncomfortable couple of nights, staff were nice enough, chicken kebabs where a bit undercooked towards the top of the skewer and the squid was over cooked and chewy, the hotel is dog friendly and has a lovely open fire and great walks near by
Lovely welcome, upgraded room. Quiet as requested and Any other requests were accommodated. Great food and service. Free WiFi, water and milk for room. Shampoo / shower gel provided. Thank you for a lovely stay.
A warm friendly welcome and comfortable atmosphere. Rooms clean and spacious with great facilities. Breakfast high quality ingredients and served by warm friendly staff would highly recommend this little gem.
Very friendly ambience and very good attitude to well behaved dogs.

We had an amazing stay: the family who runs the business is very friendly, hardworking, always willing to please the customers. The pub is cosy, the food served very nice and heart warming. Our family room was comfortable and nicely decorated. We definitely recommend!!
The room was spacious and newly updated, bathroom was beautiful. Location was perfect, right in town and a 10-15 minute walk to Blenheim Palace. Had supper at The Chef Imperial, best Chinese food I’ve ever had!
Our room was so lovely and comfortable. We also enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the Pub. Everyone was so kind and we appreciated the help finding us a taxi to the train station. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The family suite was a great option for us and is great for families. Bathroom (with a shower) in the middle with two bedrooms either side. One as a twin and one as a double. Everything was clean. Comms were clear re parking (getting the pass from reception) and we parked up easily. Check-in was simple and lady was very friendly. Staff in the morning were very welcoming at breakfast were very attentive and the breakfast was great. Walking distance to Blenheim palace so really convenient. Woodstock also lots of options to eat also had a lovely meal at the punch bowl.
A little Gem of an Inn, and the winner is it is very dog friendly. The room was big for 2 adults and 2 older children and a dog. Lovely decor and a great location. Service was great, we also eat an evening meal at the pub which was great after a day of exploring.
The Punch Bowl is a lovely old village pub, full of individual character and charm. Really welcoming and friendly staff, nice old bar, great food.
It's right in the middle of Woodstock village, and just over the road from Marlborough Palace and grounds.
Three old school friends stayed in the big room at the front which was perfect for all of us to be together.
The room was beautifully decorated with a spacious walk-in shower. The room had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the location was convenient for everything. Staff were all friendly.
Third stay but first time in a downstairs room, a little bit more road noise, will try to book an upstairs room next time. Overall, very happy with the place, has always been very clean and friendly.
Way too noisy unfortunately. I was unlucky to get a room at the front which is on the main road and so traffic noise was awful. Thank goodness for noise cancellation iPods. Apart from that the room was spacious and clean with excellent amenities
We had a lovely two night stay at The Punch Bowl with my teenage son and my elderly mum, in the family suite, with two separate rooms & shower room between the two.
Tea and coffee facilities were provided (with coasters!) and were replenished when asked. The shower was a walk in, lovely & hot & the bathroom was a good size.
The second bedroom, usually single beds, was made up into a double on request (for a tall teen). Each bedroom had a tv.
There was limited hanging and drawer space so we lived out of our bags, a small cupboard is in the main bedroom, with a very small hanging area, but there are no deep drawers, only short drawer bedside tables.
My only gripe was that there was nowhere to dry the towels. In the winter, with the heating on, I'm sure it would be fine, but with three people, three bath towels, floor towel and hand towel, we struggled to dry these for the next use.
The staff in the bar were all very polite and very helpful. You have to walk through the bar to check in (and it was a very busy dinner time when we arrived so we had to wait a few minutes while food was being served, but we didn't mind) and the access to the rooms is either at the end of the bar, or through the back of the pub, through the car park.
Ben on the bar found my mum a phone charger (much to her delight, thank you Ben!) was chatty and thorough when walking us through our stay.
Parking is limited but does become available so don't panic. Traffic a little noisy.
We enjoyed our stay
Lovely old in with lots of character. A good location with on site parking which is rare in that area. Lovely large room, well decorated and a large comfy bed with good pillows. There was also a sofa and wooden chest as a coffee table, very bright and pleasant. The only suggestion I could make would be a swivel bracket on the TV so your can watch it in bed. The bathroom was lovely, nice and large with good fittings and an enormous shower with toiletries provided. A very good breakfast was provided, well worth £12.50 per person, which has to be booked on check in. I had the full English with "proper pork sausages" and plenty of toast to go with it all cooked by a lady with a beautiful voice singing whilst cooking in the kitchen. A continental breakfast was also available with fruit juices served by a very nice young man. There were little tables and chairs in the front where you could sit and people watch. All together a lovely pleasant place to stay and highly recommended. The inly improvement to be made was that there was only one person working the bar checking in guests and answering random questions so you were constantly disturbed whilst trying to check in but not a major issue. Overall, a lovely place to stay and very convenient for the shops, museum and Blenheim Palace.
