Heartsease is a charming country cottage on the outskirts of the village of Dallinghoo. The property is quirky with log burners in most of the downstairs rooms. Whilst the property hasn't been modernised, it retains a lot of its character and charm. Perfect for families or couples looking to get away.

Heartsease is a well-loved little cottage in the heart of rural Suffolk – perfectly located for exploring the beautiful coast and the countryside that the county has to offer.
Dating back to the 18th century, the cottage has traditional beams throughout the house as well as log burners. With a spacious garden, three bedrooms and two living rooms, it is an ideal spot for a family or couples. Located in the village of Dallinghoo (which is just outside of Wickham Market) with many footpaths on its doorstep, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind in the Suffolk countryside.
The nearby Wickham Market is a lovely town with an award-winning butcher as well as a supermarket, post office, newsagents, café and more. The cottage is also close to the A12 so you can explore nearby towns such as Woodbridge and Framlingham very easily and the popular coastal locations of Aldeburgh, Orford and Southwold are also just half an hour away.
Well behaved pets are also very welcome at Heartsease!

First Impressions

Lovely location and very spacious, let down by cleanliness and lack of basic maintenence. Broken bathroom/toilet door bolts, weeds growing through patio together with loose paving slabs sticking up causing a potential trip hazard. Place was full of cobwebs and spiders and overall quite dirty. Kitchen was dark due to a few lights not working. The stable doors couldnt be half opened due to lower bolts not lining up. Very basic jobs that wouldn't cost much to do but would leave a much better impression. When you are paying 1500 a week you expect it to be on point. Unfortunately it wasn't.
Filth under the settee. Looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
Food and grime left in the microwave

Rustic cottage getaway

Traditional cottage with lots of space for a large family. plenty of equipment, games etc. Big garden (a little overgrown) backing onto fields visited by bunnies and deer. Very quiet area so good for getting away from it all. Short walk to a good childrens playground. All other amenities were a short drive away. Would visit again.

Family Holiday

The property location is very quiet and the large rear garden provide great outside space for young children to play in and to be supervised. It did require some maintenance e.g. uneven patio, brambles and broken hammock. Its an old cottage with lots of character but visitors should not expect a newly renovated home. The bedding and towels were of a good quality. The kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. The cottage has two separate lounges with a good TV package. Given the location and overall package we would stay here again.

Funeral & few days R & R

House is in a lovely peaceful location, but easy to find with the accurate directions sent prior to our arrival. Perfect garden for the dogs.
