「Clean room. Great water pressure in the shower.」

「We needed a spot near the train station to catch an early train in the morning. It is an easy 8 to 10 minute walk to the station. The room is simple, but well furnished, and plenty of space for two people. Nice bathroom, good shower. There is a functional kitchen with some basics if you want to cook your own food, and there are many restaurants within a very short walk if you want just a quick bite. Good value for money, perfect for what we wanted.」

「I demand a refund. I waited in the dark in the rain for the host to give me the code to get in. The host did not answer calls. This was an emergency to get to the nearby hospital to visit a critically ill relative. I did not stay and booked another place 」

「Received an email around 3 hours before we were due to check in the booking had been cancelled. We were en-route. Called the number on the email (which was a third party - not Hotels.com). Advised the booking had been cancelled due to 'maintenance' and to contact Hotels.com directly make an alternative booking. Attempted to contact Hotels.com but could not get to speak to a human being to make an alternative booking. We were left high and dry!」

「We booked the apartment in August 2023 so the family could attend a music event which was local to apartment. On the day of Travel 26th April 2024 the booking was cancelled via email.. No phone call to warn us but an alternative 30+ miles away was offered in the email. Unfortunetly many other people have fallen fowl to this sort of approach due to many hotels being sold out and high prices starting to appear due to both the music event and a Wolves home football game. Many hotels coming back up...
