Mazama Mountain Hideaway is waiting to be your basecamp for fun! Now with A/C!
Recently built Mazama Mountain Hideaway is waiting to be your basecamp for fun!
Mazama Mountain Hideaway is perfect for 4-6 people to enjoy the space and privacy of three separate bedrooms in our newly constructed and beautiful cabin located between Winthrop and Mazama. We are about 10 miles west of Winthrop, and about 3 miles, or a 5 minute drive from a tasty scone or baguette at the Mazama Store.
New for 2025 we have air conditioning on both floors with a new efficient heat pump system.
The downstairs features a nicely appointed kitchen that is ready for you to cook great meals for your friends and family. Enjoy your meals, in the natural light of the beautiful dining nook that seats 6 adults comfortably with views of Flagg Mountain and Goat Peak in the distance. The downstairs also features a toasty propane fireplace, bedroom, full bathroom, and coat / boot room with all new washer and dryer to help you clean up after your adventures. While we generally appreciate going to our cabin to unplug, we do provide wireless internet, HDTV, and 4k BluRay DVD with a Bluetooth capable audio system for entertainment.
The upstairs features two larger bedrooms and a second full bathroom. All three bedrooms are furnished with very comfortable new queen beds with goose down comforters in the winter, and lighter bedding for summer. Many of our friends and guests remark that these mattresses are more comfortable than what they have at home. Let us know what you think!

This property had everything we needed and hoped for. Very clean, well-kept. Great location close to all the mountain fun. Would definitely stay here again.
This cabin was the perfect base camp for our North Cascades adventures! Very family friendly (appreciated the baby gate for the stairs), had all the amenities we needed (good kitchen knives!), and spotless cleanliness. Easily accessible to everything we wanted to do. We love the Mazama area and would happily come back!
My husband and myself stayed here while we were exploring North Cascades National Park, it was a great location. The owners had anything you would need - including "bear spray" canister - luckily, we did not need. If we are in the area - we would definitely stay here again.
Mazama Mountain Hideaway is in a perfect location for exploring the Northern Cascades/Methow Valley area. It is clean and comfortable, with a great kitchen and beautiful views. The hosts are thorough, and offer lots of suggestions to enjoy the area. We hope to visit again for more adventures.
Very nice place to stay while visiting the National park. Everything matched the description on the listing. The house was clean and in a nice neighborhood.
The cabin is beautiful and has plenty of space and everything that needed. The host provided plenty of information and very clear directions on using all equipment.
The cabin is in a quiet lovely neighborhood very close to the parks.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Our family of four (including an infant and toddler) and another friend loved our long weekend at the Mazama Mountain Hideaway. It's a cozy spot with comfy beds and a great layout. It's in an ideal location with beautiful views. Sean was very responsive and helpful. We will look forward to a future visit!
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home! The home was clean and cute and had all that we needed to make our stay great! The towns of Winthrop and Mazama were both excellent and offered every convenience. I’d definitely recommend this mountain hideaway.
Our family had a wonderful weekend in the Methow. We enjoyed the outdoors and then headed back to the cabin to cook, play games, do puzzles and relax. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!
This worked great as a cozy cabin for my children to be with their grandparents while my wife and I did nearby hikes. Popular hikes in the north cascades only being 25 minutes away is amazing. The lodging itself is cozy and was comfortable for all six of us. The appliances are all new and the window seat was very picturesque. I don't know if I have ever seen a starry night sky so clearly at night. We also found that while remote, the Mazama store, just a few minutes up the road, carried basically everything we forgot to take from home. My kids were sad to leave and my wife said she would definitely stay here again, and I have to agree.

Hot, hot, hot!
The cabin was cute - small, but comfortable. The beds were comfy, as others have mentioned. Nice fluffy towels and toiletries in the bathrooms. Kitchen seemed well stocked (we did not cook- due to next issue). The factor that put a huge damper on our trip was the temperature...there is no air conditioning and no good air circulation. They do provide numerous fans, but even with careful fan placement, opening and closing windows/blinds at appropriate times, etc...we never got the downstairs under 81 degrees - and the upstairs was probably 5-10 degrees warmer. We avoided the cabin as much as possible and were unable to sleep much due to the stifling atmosphere. We planned to cook some meals but there was no way we wanted to turn on more heat!! Of course, this would not be an issue many months of the year but if you are traveling in the summer you have been forewarned,
Lived staying in this cozy little cabin and still had plenty of room for six adults! Well equipped and enjoyed relaxing outside after long days of hiking! Have to note tjis is one of the cleanest places we have stayed, not even spider webs on the outside porch even tho it's set in the woods. Very enjoyable stay,!
This is a wonderful, quiet, peaceful hideaway. Spacious, clean, with a fully stocked kitchen, and two bathrooms. We sat outside on the patio on two nights, sipping wine and watching the sun set. This beautiful home can easily accommodate six people. There is covered parking and extra storage space.
Cabin was perfect for our family of four. Clean and well maintained, in a great location - not too far from town but in a beautiful area. We had a great stay and will try to book this cabin again when we come back.
Beautiful modern, clean, comfortable cabin with all of the features and amenities one could want. The owner's paid incredible attention to detail. Very close to all the XC ski trailheads too.

Great location, Great House
We were up in the Methow for the sunflower run and this house was great for our two families to stay at. It was well maintained and had all the space/things that we needed to feel comfortable.
