Great Stay!

The property was as described. The room was nicely decorated, kitchen stocked of essential items, bedrooms large and plenty of bathrooms. We loved the balcony overlooking the pond. This unit is within walking distance to the pool and amenity center. I would stay here again!

Favorite resort for relaxed vacation!

Kingsgate is the best resort when you want to relax. Everything you need is at the resort: food, pool, arcade, theater, gym. Everyone is so nice and accommodating.

The checkin process was very easy, the property was easy to find and is handily located close to William & Mary. The inside was a little dated but clean and comfortable and ideal for our needs.

Family Vacation in Williamsburg

Our traveling party of 11 ranged from ages 8-80. We needed to find a place that was engaging to a large variety of ages and interests. We loved our stay at Club Wyndham Kingsgate! The amenities were outstanding and kept our group busy when we weren't our touring the area. We enjoyed the large pool, minigolf, pickleball and the arcade just to name a few. The location of the resort couldn't have worked out better as we were so close to restaurants, historic sites and Busch Gardens. Highly recommend this resort!

Nice Property & location

We had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and well stocked, even with soap & shampoo. The check out was super easy. We enjoyed all the ammenities at the resort. The outdoor heated pool was a nice surprise. The location was great. The only negative experience was the pressure to schedule a time share sales appointment at check-in. You have to go to get the free gift and they charge you a "deposit". It is non- refundable if you are a no show and they don't let you cancel once you've made the appointment. The kid was very friendly it was just unexepcted. We will definitely consider staying again if we make another trip to Williamsburg.

Aside from the entry keys not working (3 times) it was a great stay. This is a reliable property and the units are all alike. we have stayed here probably 6 times. Overall always v. good. Owner of this unit was a great communicator. 3rd floor though. Be ready for that!

Very Pleased

The rooms were a bit dated but we saw renovations have begun on the property. The check in took a bit long. One of our bathrooms were not clean but the manager came and took care of it and compensated us so we were happy they made things right. The kids loved the Activity Center, Games, Courts etc. The grounds were nicely kept. Location to everything as well as guardhouse was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Our reservations were cancelled

When we originally booked did so several months ago. Two days before we leave we receive an email from VRBO saying our reservations were cancelled and that they had to book us elsewhere. We were booked at the Powhatan Hilton Vacation Club and let me tell you it was so much better. I would recommend staying there! We had a room that slept 12. The units were divided and it was so nice. The pools were awesome!

Weekend trip to Williamsburg with friends.

Location was great. However we never expected to get the whole time share speech during check-in. We booked this as a VRBO and as experienced VRBO guests and an vacation property owner, I was annoyed that was part of the checkin process. I was also frustrated by the fact that we had to name one person to be our checkin person and had to pay $149 if we changed who that person was. We were three couples who traveled from three different states and didn’t know who would get there first.

Family trip to Colonial Williamsburg

The resort was very accommodating and spacious. My husband, my 16 year old son, and myself stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, while my parents (in their 70’s) stayed in the 1 bedroom lockoff. It was great that they had their own entrance so they could come and go as they pleased without disturbing us, and offered them privacy as well. We all had a great time enjoying all of the resort amenities. My 16 year old especially liked the game room! This resort is very close to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, and Yorktown (which we all did and I highly recommend visiting!) We would definitely recommend staying at this resort. We had no issues with check in, they were not pushy about the timeshare presentation (which we passed on, and they were completely fine with that). Our suites were very clean and comfortable! Had a great time!

First Time Disappointed in VRBO Experience

This was my fourth time using VRBO. Never before was I offered a “free gift” which I was well aware of what that meant. After riding 9 hours I politely declined my free gift only to later get a phone call in the room at which I had to more firmly decline.

Not as advertised

Many issues with the two units (combined into one unit) for a family of six. Dishwasher didn't work, no working coffee pot, Couch and chairs were sopping wet for two days; unable to sit on them. Advertised a grill in the area; there was no grill in the area. Closest was approximately a two-block walk. Not a good experience.
