We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Villa Tokara. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. We loved early morning lattes and incredible banana bread on patio. Late night swims in the pool Fred helped us find numerous restaurants (the basket of shrimp at Visserij was a standout) and also beach recommendations. Our room was stunning (the one right above the main entrance!). They are in process of building a bar and restaurant which will only enhance the entire landscape. Also loved the central location in Willemstadt but was profoundly quiet and serene at night

The room was very comfortable and the Hotel had a nice pool. What separates this place is the service provided by the manager, Frederique, and the owners Jordan and Leiden. They attended our every need with care, made wonderful recommendations helping us with reservations and had a great positive attitude which permeates the Villa.

This is a beautiful and historic property. The grounds are very nice, although during our stay they were adjacent to a restaurant that was under construction. The staff was very accommodating. We stayed in the top-floor suite, which is a very cool and unique place to stay. "Cool" can be used in several ways in this context: • The bedroom was very cool, with excellent air conditioning and a comfortable sleeping temperature. Stained glass historic doors and antique furnishings ensured this was a beautiful room. • The living room was cool in the sense that it was a fascinating and unusual space. Unfortunately, it was also extremely warm because there is no air conditioning in this large room. • The bathroom is cool and unique. It's located off the living room and is only partially enclosed with glass block walls. That's a neat design feature until someone decides it's time for a serious bathroom visit. At that point, the living room can become part of the experience. One thing to note: the stairs leading to this suite are very steep and narrow, similar to stairs you might find on a boat. We found them somewhat challenging to navigate. That said, we enjoyed this unique property and would stay here again. There are also many other room options available, depending on your needs and preferences.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Tokara! Die Lage ist super. Die Villa liegt nahe der Stadt, hat viele Restaurants in Laufweite und verfügt über einen gesicherten Parkplatz. Das gesamte Team ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Auch haben wir tolle Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge bekommen. Sehr lieb ist auch der Hauskater Gordo. Alle Räume des Hauses sind sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Hier macht sich das Team wirklich sehr viele Gedanken. Unser Zimmer war in einem kleinen Nebengebäude des Hauses und ebenfalls stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Bett sowie Kissen, Handtücher und Decken waren extrem weich und angenehm. Im Gemeinschaftbereich des Hauses befindet sich ein Café, mit sehr gutem Kaffee und einer kleinen Auswahl an Frühstück. Das war perfekt! Wir haben auch unseren Mietwagen über die Villa Tokara gebucht. Frederique hat uns den Kontakt zu Carina hergestellt. Der Service und das Auto waren hervorragend! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Vielen lieben Dank für die tolle Zeit!

What a gem of a place. So special To be able to stay in one of the historical properties in the district and be able to walk to all the sights. So many excellent dining options within a block. Loved every minute of the stay.

Lovely Villa Tokara

Nice place with walking distance to nice areas and 15 min to city. There is self check-in and staff in the lobby in the morning. Loft Room is fantastic.

Lovely boutique hotel in Willemstad.

Wonderful building, dating from the 1880's--has a bog, open, spacious feel, and the rooms are very comfortable. 20 minute to the center of town, and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would stay there again!

Great, family run hotel in a historic villa. Close to the beach and restaurants. Short drive from Hato airport. Room was lovely and the owner was very personable. If we're back in Curacao we'll definitely stay at Villa Tokara again.

Beautiful property, we had a complimentary upgrade and the room was amazing. We felt right at home, had all the amenities you need. The property itself felt quiet and relaxing yet had everything you need close by(5-10 minute walk). Staff was excellent and helped with all our check in/check out needs. Will definitely be back in the future

Definitely recommend!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Villa Tokara! The suite we stayed in was beautifully and tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The villa is in a very walkable area and central to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is equally suitable for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Our host, Arrien, was extremely delightful and helpful!

Charming and peaceful boutique hotel

What a charming boutique hotel. It was tranquil, clean, safe, and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Conveniently located by some really great restaurants, a bus stop right across the street, and a short walk to the city center. Appreciated having a pool in their large courtyard - we jumped into the pool at the end of every day! Stefano went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. He gave us recs for restaurants, bars, and dive shops right after we checked in. Curacao can be tricky to get around if you don't rent a car, and when we couldn't get a taxi at night, he picked us up! Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful vacation.
