Great hotel for a luxurious stay. The private beach and numerous dining options made this a very relaxing and wonderful trip. Staff were helpful and kind. Room was spacious and well appointed.
The hotel accommodated all of our requests and upgraded our room because my mom in a poor health and couldn’t walk the stairs, it was greatly appreciated! Nice stuff and service was on point. We will definitely come back to this hotel.
You have to be able to do stairs. The breakfast buffet is fabulous, room service & laundry service are excellent and affordable. Staff is extremely efficient and friendly.
Everything is good here, especially the private beach and the ocean scene! The food is delicious and clean here, and the service is nice with a quick response.
I'd like to come here again.
Here's a grammatically corrected and slightly refined review of the Cape Panwa Hotel:
The Cape Panwa Hotel is situated on Cape Panwa Beach, located in the southern part of Phuket. It is quite a distance from other popular attractions, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway.
The hotel is expansive, offering a wide variety of room types. My seaview room was excellent: spacious, clean, comfortable, and complete with a balcony.
There are numerous restaurants within the hotel. The Panwa House, a Thai restaurant, is a must-try. Breakfast offers a good variety of food, though nothing particularly stands out.
The hotel also provides a gym, spa, two swimming pools, and a kids' room.
Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for a relaxing stay.
Fabulous retreat perfect setting , staff amazing , but drinks and food a bit overpriced especially as they appear to add service charge and tax which we did not see anywhere else on our three weeks travels .
That said the location is fab and there are restaurants and 711 nearby . Would definitely visit again and hopefully next year .

Liked: Cleanliness
The location is excellent - the hotel is on the cape with a private beach, with many loungers and a beach cafe restaurant and the Panwa House. All excellent views etc. We were in a suite, excellent size but...
The hotel is aging. The air conditioning units, for example, must have been quite old, the plastic was faded to that off yellow colour that the old systems get. The whole property walking around was just noisy from the AC condenser units churning away. In addition, the restaurant extractor fan (a huge industrial chute) was on the outside of the room. Together, the hotel just 'hums' all the time. It's not very peaceful. Nearly everything needs to be modernised or renovated. The path to the toilets on the beach is a case in point, all crazy paving, poorly laid, some sinking into the floor, hardly 5 star, more like beach hut.
In the week we were there, we cannot remember any of the cafe staff (where breakfast is served) smiling or engaging happily with the guests (except for the manager ticking off the room in the morning). We also went to the reception desk and the staff there just ignored us even though we'd been waiting, again, grumpy looks, no smiles. Poor attitude.
Finally, the food...all well cooked but (and this was true for EVERY meal), the dishes turned up at random times and at least one 'hot' dish would be cold!
As a supposedly 5 star hotel, the quality of the staff, facilities and the overall experience is nowhere near to achieve a 5 star review rating.
The property and location were beautiful. The distance from even the local shops was inconvenient, and getting to the town centre quite expensive. Considering these factors, having the main bar closed for 2 days each week as the restaurants were, on rotation, it would be a good relax for adults but could be a bit difficult with kids
would I come again.Yes The room I had Cape Suite, was very modern ,large and comfortable.
However the exterior needs some works and refurbishing.
The service at the buffet was a bit haphazard and can also be improved.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Positives
The lobby area is beautiful, rooms are a decent size with a huge comfy bed.
The hotel grounds are lovely & tropical.
The swimming pool is a good size, clean and was never too busy during my stay.
The beach is nice but it’s not like the images you see online.
The hotel staff are nice & approachable, especially the ladies at the front desk.
Good variety of breakfast options.
Frequent free shuttle service to Cape Kantary (sister hotel) & its nearby amenities/ restaurants.
Negatives
It’s not a 5-star luxury resort (perhaps it was when it first opened).
The rooms (& bathrooms) are dated.
The rooms are somewhat clean/ could be cleaner.
Unwanted room guests; on two consecutive days I had a gecko/ lizard lurking in the fridge cupboard.
Hats off to housekeeping who managed to find and catch the gecko/ lizard on both occasions.
I understand that it’s a tropical destination, (& it’s not my first time in a tropical location), but it’s not great that this happened twice within my first 4 nights at Cape Panwa Hotel.
I reached out to Cape Panwa Hotel more formally on the above but I haven’t received a response (and I since checked out).
Unable to accommodate an earlier check-in (I wasn’t the only guest to experience this).
Activities lack authenticity; e.g batik painting.
What guests actually do is ‘colour in’ a pre-batik drawn design using the paints provided. That’s all there was to it.
If you want a sanctuary away from the party scene, this is for you. Fans of the Thai Drama I Told Sunset About you can channel PP Krit and Billkin at Panwa House!
Excellent beach front resort, nice villas with a private pool. Excellent staff, they take care of all your needs, never have stayed at a hotel/resort that takes care of you up to checking in at your airlines
