"The apartment was clean, easily accessible and beautifully furnished/equipped with everything you would need. We had a slight problem viewing chanels on the Smart TV's but I think that was done to us not being used to them more than anything else :)Lovely, lovely apartment, would highly recommend this apartment.Thank you"

"Beautiful cottage with a lot of space outside, a seating area by the stream, a great location near Millom and other Lake District locations, and a hot tub!
(Note: The hot tub use is an additional £40 flat fee, which was unmentioned on Hotel.com listing, but is on the official Sykes Cottage page)"

"This was a truly lovely place to stay with a helpful owner. The location was great located within walking distance of several hiking trailheads, the village shop, and several restaurants. It was comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed."

"I have been staying here for decades mainly because of its location. It is a truly beautiful property but unfortunately it is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Paint off the walls , worn carpets and generally in need of some TLC. On the positive side at least the people are still really accommodating , professional and friendly. Hopefully the property itself will get an update."
"Summary - great location, fantatstic room, eat somewhere else. We had a lovely room overlooking the beach. It was warm and comfortable. Reception staff were lovely. I would not recommend eating here. The food is less than average - not even the basics right. Awful chips, over zapped baked potato, both meals swimming in shop bought coleslaw and salad full of massive chunks of raw onion. The packed lunch looked like it had been made in the dark and my apple was rotten. Packet grated cheese covered in cornstarch for cooking just fell out, along with last night's salad with those big bits of raw onion. Restaurant staff not nearly as friendly as reception. Go to Whitehaven for supper!"
"Lovely stay, excellent staff , pleasant and helpful. Food excellent good sized portions at breakfast and dinner. So good to go into a traditional bar with a variety of cask ales. Highly recommend"
"I have stayed in many B&B’s in Keswick and having just spent two nights at The Edwardene for the first time, this is now my favourite. We stayed in a twin room called ‘The Osprey’ and needed a very late check in, which was no hassle to the owners who made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, bright, well furnished and had a lovely view of the mountains. The toiletries provided are locally made and were top quality. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were also provided with delicious Border Biscuits. I had Eggs Royale for breakfast and it was the best one I have ever had. I can also highly recommend the full English. The whole property from the outside to inside is exceptionally kept. It is just a 5 minute walk into the centre so is also a great place to stay location wise. Was able to easily park on a near by street. The whole experience was excellent value for money. Do not hesitate to book this charming bed and breakfast which is run by exceptional hosts. We will most definitely be back!"
"Clean room, helpful staff and a nice breakfast selection.
Slightly understaffed at times, but Liam saved the day.
A nice guest lounge but not large enough for the guests wishing to enjoy an after dinner drink, chat or the garden view. And the bar is poorly positioned next to the kitchen and the far end of the dining/breakfast room."
