About this property

Boho Cottage - close Port Arthur Historic Site

  • Boho Cottage is a vintage gem nestled in the stunning surrounds of the Tasman Peninsula in the aptly named holiday hamlet of White Beach

Spend days here, relaxing, exploring, walking, swimming, fishing, surfing, dreaming, or use it as a base to explore this rich natural beauty and history of the area.

The cottage is located a short walk from the white sands of White Beach and a short drive from Port Arthur Historic Site, natural geological attractions, amazing walking tracks, and secluded bays

Discover the natural beauty of the Tasman Peninsula from the comfort of this light-filled vintage shack located just a short walk from aptly named White Beach, and just a 60 minutes' drive from Hobart Airport.

Stunning views span the coastal scenery of Storm Bay, Bruny Island, and Mt Wellington in the distance.

Inside, open plan living is ideal for both relaxing and socialising. Head out to nearby attractions by day, then come home and cook up a meal to enjoy with a wine by the fire on crisp, cool evenings. Or better still grab a book and sit on the elevated front deck and take in the beatiful views of natural bush and sea views beyond.

Our little shack is a comfortable space celebrating a typical Tasmanian shack culture and certainly doesn't aspire to be a luxury hotel. There are many carefully collected vintage finds that are bound to strike a nostalgic twinge for many of our guests.

Whether you want a base to explore this incredible region or a peaceful escape to be immersed in nature, this single-level, three-bedroom property is the perfect home away from home.

Situated in a quiet holiday village with views of the coast, eclectic furnishings, and acomfortable, cosy living space create a calming backdrop for your coastal retreat.

The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area are both welcoming and family-friendly. The kitchen has all you need to prepare meals at home, including a fridge, freezer, cooktop, convection oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and other cooking essentials like pots, pans, and utensils. Eat around the timber dining table, then kick back in the living room on one of the comfy lounges or armchairs to watch TV or read from a selection of books available or just sit and chill.

Three cosy bedrooms accommodate 5 guests. The master offers a queen bed, the second bedroom has a double bed, and, the third bedroom has a double bunk with a single bed on top.

An updated bathroom features a shower as well as all the basics including soap, shampoo and conditioner, and hairdryer.

Catch up on your laundry using the updated undercover outdoor laundry.

Outside a parking area accommodates four or more cars or boats and jet skis.

There is a large outside deck at the front of the property that takes advantage of the sea views and features an outdoor dining table, two outdoor couches, and a gas BBQ with a separate gas hot plate.

There are two staircases off the front deck but reasonably flat access is provided at the rear of the property which will be your first entry point.

We have gone to some lengths to include a wide selection of DVDs, games, and books to keep you occupied in the house.

We strongly recommend a daily walk on the beach and that you explore the many attractions located on the Tasman Peninsula.

You will have Boho all to yourself, sit on the front deck, listen to the birds and rolling ocean, and be free.

There is no access to the garage.

Just prior to your stay you will be sent a unique code to access the property. The access code will promptly expire at the conclusion of your stay ensure the safety and privacy of all our amazing guests. The key pad for the access code is located at the entrance door under the patio at the rear of the cottage.

We are available by phone from 8am to 8pm if you have any questions during your stay.

We would love if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests.

Please please let me know as soon as you can if there are any issues at all so I have a chance to take the appropriate action to ensure your stay is it should be - totally stress free and relaxing!!

As I am not in area I am unable to personally check the house before your arrival - I am heavily reliant on my housekeeper and I need to know as soon as possible if you and therefore me have been let down in any way by the presentation of Boho Cottage.

The Tasman Peninsula has an abundance of things to do and see.

White Beach itself is perfect for all beach activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, beach combing, relaxing, snorkeling, kayaking etc.
