Lovely cottage in great location

My husband, toddler, and greyhound stayed for three nights in this lovely cottage. It was quiet and cozy, with all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect for accessing the train station and pub. Our dog was also very comfortable—the house did not smell of pets. It had been cleaned very well.

Tiny cottage but warm and comfortable. Comfy beds with nice cotton bed linen. Very steep stairs. All electric heating & cooking. If self-catering you need to bring everything; oil, salt, pepper, etc. Quite tight parking at rear of property. Fairly well-equipped kitchen but basic appliances and no dishwasher. Co-op convenience store close by, also friendly pub. Short walk to railway station, although no trains to Whitby until May 2026 and engine shed only open Mondays. Quiet village, seems to be mainly holiday lets.
