In nearby Whitby, you can visit the iconic Whitby Abbey, climb the 199 steps for spectacular views, or enjoy a stroll along the pier. For a quieter coastal experience, head to the charming villages of Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay, and Robin Hood’s Bay. Each village offers its unique charm, from Sandsend’s sandy beaches to the historic fishing village of Staithes, while Robin Hood’s Bay enchants visitors with its winding streets and smugglers’ tales.
