「Good internet and absolutely stunning building with lots of interesting nooks and crannies. Taken over recently by The Fat badger company the downstairs public rooms are decorated in a Gothic style with dark colours and hundreds of pictures, endless antique goth memorabilia and dramatic light fittings. Gorgeous. staff were brilliant and breakfast was everything you could possible want. Would highly recommend. Views over the estuary stunning. 」

「This is a room in a pub. But our room was to a high standard and almost large enough to be a suite. Absolutely in the centre of Whitby. Breakfast was good and hearty too. Could do with more power sockets in the room, though.」

「Lovely large house with self contained rooms which had everything you would need for an overnight stay The actual house was warm when we arrived but our room was freezing. There was a radiator in the room but it was off and didn't come on when the valve was turned to warm We were actually sat with our coats on before we left to go out」

「A lovely hotel in a fantastic location in Whitby, with beautiful views over the sea and harbour. From the moment I arrived, Zed and his team were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was excellent — the area was perfectly stocked with plenty of choice, and the cooked food was prepared beautifully and presented wonderfully on the plate. 「The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.」
