Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"What a lovely cabin! Our family of 6 fit comfortably here. This was a perfect base for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and Silver Circle attractions. We loved the added benefit of the hot tub and having a clean, comfortable spot to relax that had clear views of the sky. The host was extremely helpful communicating back and forth. We did have a 4WD vehicle, but I don't expect one would be necessary to get to the cabin except after heavy snow. We'd stay here again."

"We enjoyed our stay at Fosshotel. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Food was fresh and delicious. Our room does not have an air-con but it has window shutters that you can open to allow cool air in. Beds and pillows are comfortable after the long day tour. Amenities are acceptable. Staff are friendly and approachable. You dont have to go anywhere as Bus station 12 is conveniently located at the side of the hotel to wait for the tour buses. The hotel is at walkable distance to the nearest Bonus (Skipholt) grocery store to buy snacks stash for tours."
