"The Starlite Yellowstone was very clean and the staff was great. Very close to the West entrance of the National Park which was sweet. The only 'knock' on the property was the small bathroom and no exhaust fan inside the bathroom. There was a note on the shower that the restroom door needs to be slightly open to prevent steam from a shower setting off the fire alarm. It was just my wife & I so not a big deal, but if you're with other family members, having the door open while taking a shower just doesn't seem right. Speaking of the fire alarm, very early on a Monday morning, we were awakened by the fire alarm because of a shower door not open by another guest so a little disappointed, they need to get that corrected. We were worried this was going to be an ongoing issue but there was only this single incident. Other than that, everything else was great. The restaurant with the property, Black Sheep, was good too."

"Mountain Vista is approximately 7 or 8 miles out of West Yellowstone, so nothing is walkable. That said the staff was great, the room was clean. The entire property was well maintained. I would stay there again."

"If you're not picky with decor which is dated, this place is in a great location RIGHT outside the park (<5 min drive) and has everything you need. The room we booked was a, "Deluxe Double Room, Multiple Beds" which basically had two bedrooms, a fridge, freezer, microwave, and closet. The beds were clean and comfortable. I would like to have had slippers/socks since the place is carpeted and it's probably the original. *One thing to note was that the hot/cold water on the faucet was installed backwards, so cold was hot and hot was cold lol We were floored when we saw how much space we had! There was parking on site. The first night we stayed we had to park at the lot across the street (same motel) because it was full. The place had ice at reception which was nice (no ice machine, the receptionist had a big bag of ice in the back). They had coffee in the lobby one day and were out the next day. The receptionist we encountered our first night...could have been taken straight out of the scene of a movie. Completely no-nonsense...I'll leave the rest a mystery for you to discover..."

"The room itself was a bit of a disappointment.....it grew on me. We had 2 Q beds and, when asked, I was told no rooms have a K bed. Staff were very welcome and made us feel at home."
