Beautiful Cabin on a Vineyard

Great views overlooking our vineyard. This is a great place for family gatherings, a honeymoon weekend, a relaxing getaway, or retreat.
The space
*2 night minimum. ** We occasionally will allow 1 night stays.

Enjoy the seclusion and privacy of country living in this remarkable country home. Plenty of space to gather as a family and enough space to get away from one another as well.

Relax in the living room area by the fire or on the large wrap around deck overlooking the vineyard. Feel the stress melt away as you enjoy all the features of this country retreat. Amazing views of the sunrise in this elevated home which is at one of the highest points in the county. Wake up in the morning and walk in the vineyard for peaceful exercise.

The home offers wifi, four Smart tv's , dish washer, air conditioning and 2 wood burning stoves. The basement is set up as a game room/ bar area with air hockey table, foosball, Marvel Arcade and full sized ping pong table. Dry bar with wine fridge.


Fully furnished with sheets, towels, dishes, cuisine food processor, coffee pot, etc. Fully stocked kitchen, please let me know if you have a specific item you need and I'm happy to let you know if you offer it!

There is also a Blackstone grill griddle and pellet smoker for your use. Bring your own type of smoking pellet just in case there aren't any available.

Ring Security cameras monitors the driveway entrance. Noise decibel monitors (Minut) are located outside near the front and back to protect our neighbor's happiness from loud parties.

Dust can accumulate every few days due to it being a country home on a gravel road with 2 wood burning fireplaces.

This is a great place for family gatherings, a honeymoon weekend, a relaxing getaway, or retreat.
Guest access
Entire home available for large groups. A code will be provided through access through the garage, where guests can park.
Other things to note
Out of respect for the neighbors, no loud music please. Our property can only handle micro weddings of 30 or less visitors. Only 23 guests are allowed to spend the night. if you plan on hosting a wedding please inform us. Events with excess guests may incur a surcharge.

If we are experiencing severe cold (such as -30 degrees), both our fireplaces will need to be used due to the largeness of our home.

Also, this is a very large house. The heating/AC do well, It takes awhile to catch up to adjustments. Please keep doors and windows closed, as this will prevent the Heat/AC from keeping up, and it could take a while for it to catch back up

We are green! Solar panels provide 90% of our electricity!

Gatherings of 50 or less people may be approved, please inquire with us about your gathering!

Family Holiday

The property was perfect to gather family from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri and Kansas. The "cabin" allowed us to all be together and then to spread out with ample space. The property was well equipped with kitchen equipment, family room games, bedrooms, grills, and so on. Thanks to the owners for providing such a neat place.

Vacation rental review

Huge luxurious cabin property in Iowa. The hosts thought of everything. Their attention to detail is amazing. Highly recommend this location if you are visiting near Iowa City. It was the perfect size with many bedrooms and bathrooms for our family reunion.

We stayed in this home with our extended family--ages 3-70s. There was plenty of room for all of us, & the house & property were perfect! The outdoor space was wonderful & the games in the basement were perfect for family tournaments. =)

The Best Intimate Wedding Location

One of the best wedding decisions we made was booking this property. The host was so responsive, accommodating, and kind which made the day so much less stressful. The property was beautiful, our wedding guests were in awe of the property every minute of the day. Plenty of rooms and space for privacy while also being great to entertain. Family Reunion

We had ten adults and seven toddlers and children. I was VERY impressed by the many extras provided by the hosts, a kiddie pool, an extra high chair, an extra pack and play, firewood, etc. The grounds are spectacular.

Spectacular

I can’t say enough about this place and the hosts. The hosts were beyond accommodating, friendly and helpful with all our needs. The accommodations exceeded all of our expectations. Everyone had their own bed and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The outdoor fire pit was a perfect place to end our days. You will not be disappointed with this property!

Wonderful Experience

This is a beautiful log home nestled in a great country setting. As stated in the online listing, there is room for everyone and space for whatever you need. There were 18 of us and no one felt cramped. The fireplace in the living room was stocked full of wood and it was relaxing to watch the fires. The home is well equipped with almost everything anyone would need. This sums up everyone's thinking....a person from L.A. mentioned "this is like being in a large ski chalet without all the snow"!

Perfect remote getaway for 13 people

Huge property with a charming cabin; plenty of space for 13 adults to hang out for a long weekend (only 2 people had to sleep on a couch - bring a couple air mattresses and you can comfortably sleep a ton of people). We chose this place because of the large number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The basement has ping pong, air hockey, a bar, Foosball... so much to do. Jennifer was extremely helpful and quick to communicate; was super friendly and accommodating my request for an earlier check-in. They even left a couple bottles of wine for us. The views around the deck(s) are fantastic; the vineyard is really pretty especially in the early morning sunrise with fog/haze. You can hear some roosters and cows in the distance. There are some neighbors within eye/ear-shot but it's still super private and remote you don't even really remember they're there. There's even a fenced-in portion of the yard (quite large) if you have dogs. I'd consider staying here again with just my small family and would bring my dog to enjoy that running space. Overall, a fantastic stay thanks to a great property and home, and very pleasant hosts. Thanks again!

We loved the place! We had 7 couples and plenty of room for all of us, lots of bathrooms and nice roomy deck where we sat outside! The guys went golfing and the gals did some shopping, the town of West Branch is charming! We plan to come again next year!

Great for a large family gathering

Really great rustic home. Quiet property with millions of fireflies made for an unforgettable family home. We had 4 generations under one roof for a long weekend and the house accommodated us perfectly. Tons of games for the kids and rooms big enough when we wanted to be together and enough space when we needed it.
