Comfortably furnished holiday flat (on the ground floor) on a 3000 square metre enclosed property in a quiet, sunny location. Kayaks and canoes can be used directly from the property at the water lock. The holiday flat is on the ground floor with a separate entrance. Central heating with central hot water preparation. Living room, bedroom, bathroom with shower/WC, kitchen with fridge, freezer, 4-ring electric hob and oven, coffee machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. Terrace, outdoor seating area, garden furniture, barbecue, car parking space.
The village of Strasen is located approx. 10 km west of Fürstenberg at the connection between Ellbogensee and Großer Pälitzsee. Both lakes are connected by the Strasen lock. This dates back to 1845. The Müritz-Havel waterway and the Upper Havel waterway meet at Strasen. The village is surrounded by water and forest and has cycle and hiking trails that lead through green forests - along waterways - away from the main roads. The waterway through 1000-year-old Mecklenburg is one of the most beautiful inland water sports areas in Central Europe. By bike, kayak, canoe and on foot, you can explore the "Land of Lakes" and get to know the dense primeval forests and glistening lakes of Mecklenburg. In the midst of the enchanting landscape of lakes and hills, mighty castles, magnificent churches and manor houses with extensive parks are reminders of the eventful history of this region. As you glide through the water in a kayak, only the splashing of the paddles and the chirping of birds interrupts the deep silence. Lush green trees line the banks and provide shade. The landscape is reflected in the clear rivers and lakes. The banks are a paradise for numerous bird species. Cycle along small side roads lined with old trees. If fishing is too boring for you, there is a trout farm where you can buy fish (also smoked) every day. The hotel "Zum Löwen" and the restaurant "Zu den Eichen" cater for your physical well-being. There is a small shopping centre in Wustrow (approx. 3 km from Strasen), larger purchases can be made in Wesenberg or Fürstenberg.
