Check in was a nightmare. They had a housekeeper doing front desk and bless her heart she was having a hard time. After we finally got checked in AFTER 3 pm our room hadn’t even been cleaned yet. Had to find something to do until it was cleaned. Got in the room, the AC cooled but not as good as it should. Went to The Lounge to have dinner and a drink and there was no one to be found to wait on us. Went elsewhere for dinner. Breakfast wasn’t terrible.

This hotel is under-staffed and poorly managed. I felt bad for the staff because they were working hard but just not enough staff to get the job done. The first room we were given a key for was either not cleaned or occupied when we opened the door - I’m glad we didn’t surprise someone. The second room was ready but had bugs on the floor and a musky odor. The breakfast was a major disappointment. There was a nice area for breakfast and there was food but no coffee cups that were clean. I assume the hotel uses real plates instead of paper products to save money and I applaud the efforts to reduce waste, but, not having enough staff to wash dishes makes paper products very reliable. I finally got a coffee cup, fixed some hot tea, went to a table, then to make a waffle (no batter left), and when I got back to my table, the one guy working had picked up my cup while bussing tables😩 I would not recommend this hotel. It could be a nice facility if they managed better and got more help.

I found stained bedding nats or fleas flying around. AC smelled of mold and did not cool the room. Grabbed my belongings and immediately left. Hotel did not reply to my concerns and still charged me Horrible place to stay.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay. The pool was dirty, and on the first morning there were no breakfast items available. We were told the delivery truck hadn’t arrived, but our college reunion had been booked months in advance, and there were more than 15 people in our group staying at the hotel. The pool situation was especially concerning. Several members of our group ended up cleaning the pool themselves and even contacted a local pool company to test the water to ensure it was safe to use. The staff was friendly and did their best, but they appeared overworked, with only one person on duty at a time. As a result, response times were understandably slow. We have stayed here for many years for our college reunion because of the great pool area and bar, which provided a wonderful place for our group to gather. Unfortunately, since the new management took over, the quality of the property and overall experience have noticeably declined. We appreciate the efforts of the staff, but due to the condition of the property and the lack of preparation for our group’s stay, we will be choosing a different hotel for future reunions.

The room was clean but the furniture in the room took up most of the room. For an overnight stay, we didn’t unpack, so not much room to move around with the suitcases open. That being said, some updating would be helpful. The stairs looked rusty and rough. Seems like they had a large group, or possibly residents, so going to the pool felt awkward. Also, needed to stand in line to use the laundry, decided to wait until the next stop. It was ok for a stop over but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Our beds had hair of all lengths, under the pillows, on the fitted sheet, shower was not cleaned, food on our blankets. The breakfast was horrible, coffee horrible. And the thing that made it the WORST is no running water!!!!

I don’t know, maybe there are some secret, wonderful rooms and a secret, wonderful breakfast that people are talking about, but I’ll make sure I never stay there again. The room is dated, smells old, and isn't clean. The bathroom is tiny and old—I wouldn’t even try to take a shower. The air conditioner isn’t good either, and the breakfast was almost non-existent. I was so disappointed and could not believe anyone could give it a 9 out of 10 rating. Get something newer. Last time, we stayed at another hotel in the area for a similar price, and it was a newer, amazing experience. We left as early as we could in the morning

Old old hotel, unorganized, air conditioner was not on when we entered the 2nd room. Never cooled down til morning. 93 degree day. First room hadn’t been cleaned yet at 6:00 pm. Wooden floors dirty, shower was adequate. Expedia charged us $20 more than our receipt for the room. We chose not to stay for breakfast. The sheets were clean. The check in clerk was overwhelmed and I actually felt for her. never saw a maid anywhere the whole time. Someone checking in when we did, refused the room and got her money back. Wouldn’t care to go through Expedia again. After driving 10 hours that day, couldn’t go any further, so… stayed in the hot room. One star is sufficient for this hotel.

The staff was very welcoming and the check-in area/lobby was different and nice. We reserved a king room but they don't have one on the ground floor and they don't have an elevator so ended up on the ground floor in a room that must have had previous bathroom flooding and the restroom smelled like old diapers. I had planned on taking a bubble bath but the tub had rust spots and no stopper. This was advertised as a "Best Western Plus" and my expectations were way higher than they provided product.

After seeing some pretty good reviews for this place, we decided to book it. Right on Route 66 and the pictures looked great. The main courtyard and the lobby all looked really nice. We were given our room and it’s around back of the other rooms and not even in the main area and it appears we’re back with all the construction workers. Room was decent. But the bathroom is at the very back of the room and the lights above the vanity do not work at all. The room seemed fairly clean until we looked at the cords for the lamps plugged in and there’s dust an inch thick. Decided to go to the lobby where they have a restaurant and bar. Opens at five. At 6 o’clock there was nobody in there, nobody behind the bar and the place was empty. So we went elsewhere. Definitely pass on the breakfast. The juice machine was broken, the coffee was instant, and the donut holes were hard.I would definitely go try any other hotel/motel in that area.

We have been staying one night for the past 4 years on our way home from Mexico to Canada and always look forward to this little gem of a hotel. Our favorite is the little restaurant/bar in the lobby, great atmosphere, good variety of food and we don't have to drive around town looking for a place with takeout ( 2 dogs prevent us from fine dining experiences) Although rooms are small they are beautiful and cozy. Beds are exceptional and very comfortable. Haven't been here when pool is opened but is is a beautiful set up. It's kind of a one of a kind place that we are glad we found!

We always stop here and everything is excellent they usually had a good breakfast, but the last time we stayed they changed their service now you just get continental breakfast
