This is an older motel, parking right at the door to your room, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I needed a place to sleep for the night for work in the area and this location was perfect for what I was looking for. As mentioned this is an older motel that could use some renovation, but it was also one of the lowest nightly rates in town so I found it to be a good value for the money. If I find myself needing a room again in the Washington, NC area I would definitely stay here again.

The room was semi clean, bed was good and clean. No bed bugs detected. Bathroom sink faucet was not secured to sink. Toilet rocked when sat down on it at floor. Ceiling in bathroom was in poor condition.

You get what you pay for, I suppose. It’s a cheap place to stay. The room itself was clean enough. The bathroom was awful. I take daily showers, and dreaded taking one on my first day. The second day I didn’t take one there, but waited until I got home. The toilet was wobbly, the shower had mold and grime. The sink faucet was loose. There was a roach in the shower and a spider in the wall in the bathroom. It smelled bad in there. Pro tip: Sleep with the bathroom light on and the bathroom door cracked open. Bugs are less likely to come out when there are lights on. The bed is a spring mattress. It isn’t the most comfortable. But, it’s a place to lay your head at night.

It may have been because we reserved a non-smoking room - but the room should not have been let to anyone even if they had a burmese tiger to board with them. Hot water in tub would not turn off, shower curtain was ripped, towels did not look clean, cove base was falling off the wall, floors were dirty, outlet for TV was fried

Look, I hate to leave a review that is less than complementary, but this poor lady manager has her work cut out for her to find reliable staff and a decent handyman. I am Assuming the current ownership/management is new to this property, As it dearly needs updating. While everyone on site was pleasant to me with a certain camaraderie, this is the only place I’ve ever stayed where I felt compelled to prop the only chair against the door, and removed everything from my car that I couldn’t afford to lose. Sorry for this review and maybe it can be a wake up call, but as they say facts is facts. I like to think I am fairly resilient, and I am compassionate to a fault, but when there’s not even an electric outlet in the bathroom, nor did the dingy microwave cable even reach the other wall outlet, I Think they’d have been better off, not to offer the room than to risk establishing a bad reputation. I wish them luck, hopefully they can get it together.
