We enjoyed our stay with Enise. The location is beautiful and everything can be reached within minutes. Moreover, super close to the Capitol, Congress Library and Supreme Court, too.
The host, Enise, was very attentive and her apartment is clean and spacious. Would stay there again. Very close walk to Capitol Hill and located in a quiet neighborhood. Would recommend this property.
The apartment is in a great location just a few blocks from the Metro, Mall museums, restaurants, and shops. All are within walking distance through this very safe area. The apartment is spotless and well equipped for meal preparation and offers all the comforts for relaxation for one or two people. The host is very responsive and helpful.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at this pretty, little basement apartment. The location was ideal for a visit to the capitol - close to the mall and the waterfront. Enise, the owner was very helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations. We had an intermittent issue with the alarm but the owner was responsive working to get it fixed. We were also a little disappointed that there wasn't a hot tub or spa as described in the listing. All that said though, I would still strongly recommend this place and we're likely to return ourselves, as there is too much to see and do there in the short time we had.
Very convenient to Eastern Market and Metro. Comfortable pied-à-terre for two with easy access to everything in DC.The host is clear that there is no access to the garden shown in the picture. We were here over the Christmas holidays so too cold anyway for us.Good shower and everything worked well. Not really a cook-in kitchen but plenty of good restaurants within an easy walk.We will likely return.

The unit was recently remodeled and very clean. The area was easily walkable and close ro the National Mall. Enise was responsive.
The property is in a great location. Close to everything. Very close to Eastern Market and all the sites of DC. Enise is a great host. The apartment is clean, spacious and well appointed. We will definitely stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home on DC. What a lovely and relaxing apartment! Great location on a charming and quiet block, just a short walk from an interesting and diverse shopping area and convenient Metro stop. Great hostess too! Thanks again Enise. For your lovely home and hospitality!
Big apartment. Close to metro. Quiet neighborhood. Near multiple restaurants ts

Great location and property
Great Capitol Hill location walking distance to the National Mall, restaurants and Trader Joe’s. Property was quiet, clean and well appointed, including everything needed for our morning coffee. Owner lives upstairs and was a great host checking in to see if we needed anything but was not intrusive. We were thrilled that she helped us keep our luggage secure after check out so that we could have a few more hours of sightseeing. We will recommend this location to our friends.

A St BnB
The heat was difficult to adjust, there was no room to put things, all surfaces were covered with Knick knacks, small hanging space, small drawer space, only a 1 burner electric cooktop, sofa extremely uncomfortable, owner unpleasant, basement unit (not made clear in ad), could not use highly advertised garden, bath room nice. Will not go back .

Convenient, perfect for 1-2 couples
Overall a very nice property. Enise met us on arrival and walked us through the property. It was conveniently located and we walked to the Capital building, restaurants, and the Metro station. The door was broken to the back patio so we were unable to go sit outside. Not a huge issue but it would have been nice to know before we arrived. Overall a good experience and we would definitely stay here again!
My wife and I stayed at this property and highly recommend it. The owner was helpful and very accommodating. Our flight was late in the evening and she was there to greet us and show the property. We had also a later departure flight and she let us delay checkout until later in the afternoon. The property is as described. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and is a short walk to restaurants, coffee houses, and shopping, including Trader Joe's. You can walk to most of the places you want to see, including the Capitol, Library of Congress, and numerous museums. We highly recommend this residence.

Short on kindness
The day before our arrival my husband died in an accident. I contacted the owner, telling them that we would not be using the home. I understood that on such short notice, the owner would not be able to rent out the space but I did ask for a refund of the cleaning fee, as no cleaning would be necessary. The owner denied my request which seemed extremely callous.
To submit my comments, I had to rate the stay so noted things to the best of my knowledge. Wish we could have used the lovely property.
The living spaces, bathroom, kitchen spaces all very nice, truly. Modern, updated, nice decorating. Terrific neighborhood, streets are quaint and proximity to Eastern Market restaurants shops and Metro ideal. Owner was helpful and attentive as needs arose, like when the Internet went down a day and a half.
However, we felt the photos were not fully representative of what was available to us. The garden was strictly off limits despite six of the 20 photos--including the main profile photo--taken from within the garden space. That along with a review that spoke to their loving the garden space left us assuming we could access that area. No. Absolutely not according to the owner... says so in the property description. (She disagreed that the photos were misleading.) This revelation was hugely deflating as my wife spent a lot of time in the unit while I did business two of our four days. Before that we were tempted to look elsewhere at the time of reservation when discovering insurance protection for $89 was required (or incur an upfront $3,000 credit card charge that the owner had discretion to apply should damage be incurred.)
Look, if you simply want a very nice space to stay in a great location, with a second bed (murphy) and could care less about the garden, this one might be perfect for you. But not for us. Won't return.

Unreasonable and rude owner
Owner was extremely over bearing and picky. Listing said no shoes inside home- we take our shoes off in my home as well so this was not an issue, however while walking out the front door to get into our Uber, the owner knocked on the back door so I walked to answer thinking it was important. She then ranted about my shoes which I explained were indoor house shoes. We lost our Uber. - had to pay for it , because she then was upset that we had one light on while going out. Being in an unfamiliar place, I left on a small lamp to guide us in at night. She was very rude and demeaning then explaining to me how unclean I was to wear shoes and how I didn’t care that she paid the light bill. We found a camera in the main room we stayed in- which was very unnerving! The entire place is covered in dusty rugs to protect the floors. She repeatedly told us not to lock the back doors- which is where she visited - which was also odd. We were quiet and clean and left the place in perfect condition. She then tried to charge me $ extra $$ for the one time I answered the door with shoes on- house shoes. She charged a large cleaning fee, then left a note saying we had to clean before we left! If you want to be watched and treated like a child- then stay here!
lovely Capitol Hill neighborhood near Eastern Market. Very quiet street. nice, clean, well appointed basement level property with a walled garden out back. hard to get cell service from inside the building, however wifi is available
Enjoyed our month here. The backyard space is gorgeous and a relaxing retreat. The location is great being super close to Eastern Market which makes for fun weekend shopping and great food. Check out the rotisserie chicken at the end of the market! It was delicious and made it easier to prepare dinner in the kitchenette.
It’s tough to travel right now but we needed to go to DC. We were apprehensive but as it turned out Delta was very accommodating and so was our host! The place was perfect for what we needed. Great location, clean, comfy etc. and great yard for social distancing. Some logistics needed to be worked out because we didn’t want anyone walking through the place and the access to the back is through the garage but we worked it out.
Looking forward to going back!
