Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Good potential but a rough stay
Pros: the owner is quick to communicate, the apt is walkable to an Aldi and very close to a bus line. The beds are very comfortable. owners have made a trendy apt in terms of decorating. They do supply dish detergent, laundry detergent and dishwasher pods which is all nice.
Cons: the listing is for 5 people but the 5th person needs to sleep on the couch (not a pull out couch) and the couch is too small for that and is uncomfortable.
The hardest part was that there were not linens for 5 people (only 4), not towels for 5 people (4 towels and a couple wash cloths) and the kitchen had 4 plates,4 Forks, 4 coffee cups and that was about it. No cookie sheets, no cooking utensils. It was stocked so very poorly which was hard for us after a long day of sightseeing and just wanting to cook in.
I think someone may have flipped the apt quickly to look nice but didn't pay attention to the basics. The owner was really receptive to our feedback but a guest should not have to tell you to have BEDS for 5 people and all of the household things that 5 people will need. I think they will stock better in the future but future guests should clarify for sure.
While the apartment is a nice floor plan the neighborhood is anything but nice. We were forced to take an uber to every event as it was too dangerous to take mass transit which was told to us by 3 different drivers who picked us up. They were very surprised to find us staying in this area. The apartment is not furnished well...1 wine glass, 1 drinking glass, etc. Towels were also in short demand and no kitchen towels at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Not actually 'luxury'
While the description of the property was technically true, it fell short of expectations. For example, the description said that there were room darkening shades, but it was just regular shades that were very basic and let in a lot of light. Because of food allergies, we have to have access to a kitchen and this is why we went VRBO instead of a hotel or similar. The kitchen was ridiculously unstocked. The company representative was very receptive and provided what we asked for, but I shouldn't have had to tell someone from a company that rents out property that people need plates, glasses, mugs, oven mitts, a baking sheet, measuring spoons, or other items that all of us can agree are essential to cooking, and I am not talking about anything gourmet here. All of the bedding had a strong smell of bleach, so much so that it was hard to sleep. I washed them the next morning, but they still smelled bleachy. The company rep had someone bring new bedding, which was nice, but it is disappointing that I had to kick off my vacation by doing laundry. Every single chair in the apartment is uncomfortable, which is almost funny, because how did they identify an uncomfortable couch, dining chairs, AND and armchair? There is no TV in the living room area, so when we wanted to watch something together we had to decide whose bed to sit on. The appliances were all very nice, and the shower was a good one that had enough of a water heater to handle four consecutive showers.
