"We loved our stay at Flaxmere Guest Cottage. The cottage was warm, sunny and spacious. Comfy beds with lovely linen and a woodburner. We self catered and it was perfect for staying in by the fire in the evenings. It was lovely being able to wander through the magnificent gardens. A truely unique place and we’d definitely rebook. "

"Would have liked to be supplied with top up tea/coffee etc. Very compact as the name suggested as a tiny home. The grass slop to walk down to the tiny home did not have lighting down it and was dangerous as it was wet. The steps up to the tiny home had a fountain covering half the step, we found this dangerous, and had no lighting to safely nagavate to the tiny home. We had brought a little torch otherwise was could not have got into the tiny home safely. "

"It started by being difficult to get a reply from the owner while booking. On arrival,we were not expected. The owner did arrive, apologised for the mix up and made an effort to clean it, but we just wanted to relax after a 4 hour drive on Christmas Eve. He perhaps didn't have enough time to clean properly because every area was dirty from floors, to shower to kitchen items and the fridge had expired food in it. It also felt uncomfortable with personal items: medications in fridge and legal...

"Three nights, in spring school holidays, at this unique, excellently-equipped cottage, effectively resets the mind into calm. It's only a short drive from Rangiora. You are spoiled with scenic views of incredible gardens, rolling paddocks dotted with sheep, and brooding mountains in the distance. There is total privacy, really comfortable beds, and a warming fire in the fireplace for the evenings. The owners are unintrusive, respectful and very obliging. Lyddington is a must-visit .... I was sad...

"Well folks, read real close..This story will disclose, This place ought to be hushed down, For all there greatest things abound! Kevin and and Gail...the holy grail! The staff and Hector's...I'll never forgetter. Walk the beach or read a book, This park is a definite hook! We adored our stay, wish this life every darn day! "From the time that we set eyes on your cottage we were hooked. The beautiful gardens front and back and the birds eating apples ,,. The atmosphere of the batch was amazing., We cranked up the fire and cooked potatoes so cool; Life as we knew it is still achievable.. Will definitley be back - .thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise."
