Welcome to this 1 BR studio with kitchen and a private entrance, located in a gated private community in the heart of the Makaha Valley. The studio is elegantly decorated and perfectly situated to showcase the serene views of the ocean and the Pu’ukea’ au Mountain Range. Just minutes away from Makaha Beach Park, a popular surfing spot, and the great golf course in Makaha Valley Country Club. Hiking trails, surf spots and tropical beaches.

The Space:
You will be warmly welcomed by our clean and cozy 1-bedroom studio, which is attached to the main home. This studio offers a comfortable living space, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning for your convenience, a private entrance, and a designated parking space.

LOCATION:
One of the cottages at Mauna Olu is located in a gated community with 24 hours security.
This home away from home has a lot to offer with beautiful beaches, local snorkeling, and eateries all within a 10-minute drive.

QUIET TIME:
This is in a gated residential community, please be mindful of our neighbors, no parties, no events, or large gatherings, HOA requires quiet hours 9:00 pm - 8:00 am.

PARKING:
Driveway parking. No parking allowed on the street and road. Dedicated parking space for the unit is located at the right side. The left-side parking is for other unit.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home except for a few closets, and cabinets that we have locked.

The townhouse was very clean, yet it is small. A person would be hard pressed to get 4 people in there. We did hear the footsteps in apt above but it was manageable.There is a long checkin process so if you are not a techie, it may be rather difficult. A great studio, perfect for our weekend stay with two people. Quiet neighborhood, easy drive to beach, shops and market. Host was communicative and responded quickly when contacted.Only drawback, and not the fault of the property or host, someone nearby was smoking and the smell would enter the studio.

Relaxing and Cozy

The unit was lovely! It had everything we needed for our 10 day vacation. If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s in a quieter, less touristy spot this is it. It’s located in a gated community so the location felt very safe and well maintained. There are several grocery stores and drugstores less than 10 minutes away. Keep in mind you’ll have to drive a lot to most recreational places as there’s not too much to do in Mākaha Valley. If you don’t mind driving and you want to stay somewhere other than a high rise condo then you’ll love it here!The unit fit my husband and I comfortably. Having a kitchen and laundry in unit was a big plus! A/C unit worked great.

Great Stay

Our checking was simple and directions for the cottage were straightforward. The pictures online didn’t do justice as once we arrived it was a beautiful location up in the Maratha Valley and surrounded by mountains and several near by beaches. It was an awesome place with plenty of room for us and amenities provided were great. The only problem was the motion security lights didn’t work very well and hope the problem gets fixed as it was very dark at night . Overall our stay was great !

If you stay in the east it is a quiet perfekt place. The way to Honolulu and further is very long so it not be the right spot for you. The equipment leaves no wishes open.

Makaha resort

We enjoyed a week in Paradise at this gated community. We felt safe and got to know the security guards as we left for adventures and came back at night. The morning bird sounds were amazing! The stars at night were awesome! The beaches didn't disappoint. We appreciated the extra beach towels and chairs provided by our hosts. The apartment was comfortable for the two of us to rest and enjoy nature. Thank you for providing this space for us to enjoy for a week. We also appreciated the quick replies to any concerns or questions we had about the property during our stay.

Upstairs neighbor

First off the place is definitely cramped. The most room you had in a single area was in the bathroom. The listing said a 1 bedroom studio which just didn’t make sense. It also mentioned that we would have the whole house which was a complete lie. The other side of the house/ upstairs were obnoxiously loud. The foot steps in that place were horrid. I’m not sure if it was just very humid but the refrigerator has pools of water in it under our stuff.

Very nice place

Located in a gated neighborhood, this is a beautiful property. A short 20 minute or so drive to Waikiki. It's not in the middle of the action, but if youre looking for a quiet place to kick back and relax, this is it.

Great stay away from the tourist crowd

I was please with the location of the property. It was very private and secure with check point at entrance of property. Feel safe. The property itself was very clean and had all the amenities for cooking meals. The only thing I wish was that the AC was less noisy especially during sleep time. Overall it was a good experience.

Worse experience with the property managers EVER, they refused to give us the check in code to access the property despite the booking being locked in, everything being paid for and me having provided every piece of information and documentation that they requested over the many emails they sent me after making the booking... they had us sitting in the driveway for hours arguing with them over emails as they wouldn't answer the phone either... overall, appalling service.
