"We merely just for one night. Upon arrival, hotel did not have our booking information as Hotel.com did not inform hotel about our reservation. Very poorly from Hotel.com Had to show my invoice for reception that Accomodation was paid directly to Hotel.com We got the Queens Residence and it was quite spacious and big, both rooms with own en-suite. Only problem and my biggest issue was the beds. Extremely hard and uncomfortable. Not Queen or King bed. Only 2 single beds per room. From all my...

"Not as advertised! The roof leaked so much the entire bedroom got flooded! All our stuff got soaked. At some points there was NO WATER (This outside of when the electricity didn't work). It was also very noisy as the tree kept slamming the tin roof at night. Depending on your preference the mattresses are all quite hard. The wifi didn't work even though it said connected. "

"This property offered so much more than what was listed online. The house is spacious and comfortable. The host could not have done more for us. Great hospitality. Sitting on the porch, bird watching and listening to them sing was very peaceful and relaxing. The cherry on the top was when Dirk took us into the breading chamber and showed us the little ostriches hatching on the working farm. No commercial ostrich farm offers that amazing experience. "Our hosts Martha and Kristophe were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond in helping us secure a dinner reservation, making sure every element of our stay was the best it could be and even met us as we were loading up for our departure to provide traffic updates and suggesting an alternate route to save us from road works delays. The rooms are very comfortable, very clean, well amenities and remarkably quiet. The parking is secure and totally convenient. I cannot recommend 88 Baron von Reese Guesthouse highly enough."

"Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Theo and Grant. Our booked Meerkat experience was cancelled due to heavy rain but Theo offered to rearrange that for the following morning - and we are so glad not to have missed that! Grant was a wonderful young man - extremely patient with my husband’s beer selection and very helpful with advice on places to visit. A fantastic place to stay!"
