What's Nearby:
Volcano hosts a lot of small-town events. Head across the highway to the Cooper Center to enjoy the local Thai food truck or to take advantage of the Sunday Farmer's Market that goes on every Sunday from 6:00-10 AM. The big attraction is Volcano National Park which is just two and a half miles away. That's a great way to spend a day. You can also head a little ways back toward Hilo to tour either the Panaewa Zoo or the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Visitors Center - both less than 25 miles up the highway.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
