"The hotel was beautiful, it was modern while still maintaining it's old structure. The hotel was very convenient, just inside the city wall which was perfect because I rented a car and it was easy to get in and out of the city wall. Hotel parking was very convenient. The rooms were were comfortable, the breakfast was great and the tapas bar was very popular. The hotel restaurant was spectacular."

"This is a fantastic place to stay, the owner is really friendly and can't do enough for you. We are veggies and he happily cooked us omelette and chips with the best salad we've ever had. "I stayed for six nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was excellent—everyone was professional, friendly, and welcoming. The location is very good, although you should be prepared to walk up and down some hills in Ávila. The breakfast was also excellent. If breakfast is included in your rate, you can order items from the menu in addition to the buffet, which was a great benefit. The restaurant staff were also very kind, professional, and friendly. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Las Cancelas was a perfect stay for us. Basically next to the Ávila Cathedral and (probably) the only hotel with its own small parking lot. Maybe a new a/c for the room will be a good idea. We know the weather was particularly hot during our stay, but it definitely needs a new unit."

"It’s a small family hotel very close to Saint Teresa’s natal home church. Wish they had coffee cafe available early with perhaps a machine. Even though limited staff, Norma was very helpful and a sweetheart. On the negative side, there are no close restaurants or shops but the walk into the busier plazas was not bad at all and it was an easy walk to out the walls Lienzo Norte. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you to the owner 👏!!!"

"Centrally located, wonderful breakfast spread for 9 euros per person. The rooms were ample and clean. Best part was the very cold AC in each room. Front desk staff was also kind and helpful."

"Great quality-price! The hotel is located in downtown Avila in a historical building. It does not have elevator. Breakfast is included, nice croissant and fresh toast with good coffee. Wifi works really well in rooms and public places."
