Review: Safety Hazards and Unacceptable Conditions at Vista Inn ​I am writing this to warn others and formally document the serious safety and maintenance issues at this property. My current stay has been deeply unsettling, and the environment is simply not habitable. ​Major Safety and Security Issues ​The most concerning aspect of this stay is the lack of security. Immediately after checking in, I was followed through the parking lot by individuals who appeared to be under the influence. They approached me with inappropriate questions and followed me toward my room. As a result, I do not feel safe leaving my room to retrieve belongings from my vehicle. This is an unacceptable environment for any guest. ​Substandard Room Conditions ​The physical state of the room fails to meet even basic hospitality or safety codes: ​Fire Safety: There is a burnt-out ceiling light directly next to a wired, empty spot where a smoke detector is missing. ​Hygiene & Quality: The bed blanket is littered with visible burn holes. The bathroom fixtures are so badly degraded and grimey that I am uncomfortable using the shower without footwear. ​Non-Functional Amenities: The television does not work at all. ​Excessive Noise: Due to poor window insulation and the proximity to the highway, the noise level inside the room is constant and disruptive. ​Resolution Requested ​Because this establishment fails to provide a secure environment or a room that meets basic safety standards, I have requested a refund

Room had a non working tv that was lying on the dresser. The dresser had non working drawers. There wasn’t even a trash can in the room. Water pressure was poor and freeway noise was substantial. I tried on multiple occasions to talk with front desk staff but door was locked and night service bell non operational. This was not at odd hours 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. The hotel was also used to house homeless and I did not feel safe going to and from my room. I would not recommend this hotel, except for the price.

At first I didn't want to stay because the room wasn't very clean and the building is old. But the staff were so kind and friendly, and the housekeeper cleaned my room making it very sparkly, I quickly got used to the place and didn't want to leave. Denny's is within walking distance. Give it a chance, it may surprise you.

The hotel is old, they couldn’t find my reservation when I got there, I end up with a king instead of two doubles as requested, no trash can in the room, very dirty sofa, microwave with no inner plate, no fridge, broken boards near the sink. Both lamps unplugged and had to move nightstands to plug in - wall sockets loose and probably not safe. Luckily it was just a place to crash overnight while at a soccer tournament. Only stayed because we were too tired to hunt down another place to stay. Empty alcohol bottles all over the property. This one will definitely be removed from our list of places to stay in the future

NOT a SAFE place. Police was on the property. Drug activity. Someone tried to get inside my car while I was inside the car with my kids. There was squatter. Someone broke window and there was broken class everywhere. All of these things were all associated with different people. Gang activity and drug users. Did not feel safe sleeping there

Booked room. Called the motel right after to confirm I was in their system, the guy said yes and repeated my name. The next day at check in time he stated I wasn't in the system and that if I wanted to stay they would have to charge me double the price I originally selected. Guys are con artist, praying on people that don't deserve to be treated that way. Their was a very elderly couple that had traveled from riverside and had the same problem I did. It was very sad to see them not be able to get the room they booked because they couldn't afford the last second price raise When I arrived there was also a long line everyone had the same issue and they did not honor their prices on Expedia. About 7 people left very angry because they raised the prices on the day of check in. 3 people decided to sleep in the lobby with all their belongings

Checked in , tv and cable didn’t work and I had to plug everything in. Shower did not have any handle and was completely unable to work. smoke detector, door peephole, any and every device for safety features or etc were covered in tape and toilet tissue roll covers and no one bothered to uncover them when cleaning if even cleaned. Large fresh stain on top blanket and top sheet right under it which wasn’t changed yuck. Huge gap in door letting in draft from cold night time air. And no one at front desk to help by the time I was able to go address concerns so had to just deal with it. Mind you I have a 1 year old…. Completely unacceptable
