"I stayed in Dart Lookout for 8 days and it really is a sanctuary and a place to relax and watch the world go by. Birds, cruise ships, staff from the hotel below, next door’s dog - I watched and enjoyed them all from the window seat of dreams that is the best part of this house. The big bed follows in close second - super comfortable with lovely bedding. Open the curtains in the morning and watch the sun come up over the water. Perfect! The bathroom, downstairs loo and kitchen could do with a serious revamp but I just took them for what they are and made the positives outweigh any negatives. The fridge broke on my second day but the response was immediate and a new fridge was installed and working within 5 hours - that must be a record! Thank you so much, Paul! Be prepared for lots of steps up from the garage (48), but think of the cardio benefit and the arrival is more than worth the effort. I loved it! Thank you!"

"The staff and service were excellent. My main problem was I kept hitting my head on the slopping ceiling when using the bathroom. Food was good but the Chicken Curry on the first night contained very little Chicken. However the Lamb and Pork dishes were excellent. I also enjoyed the Proper Job IPA reduced alcohol on draught. Overall a relaxing holiday for my wife and I. We will be back."

"Really enjoyed our two night stay. The room was really comfortable with thoughtful extra touches like complimentary bottled water, a big selection of hit drinks and bottled milk and oat milk in the fridge. Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extremely good. A relative who lives in the town said it was their favourite place to go for breakfast and I can see why. I highly recommend a stay here ."

"Had a 2 night stay which was wonderful, Jon and Julie plus George are amazing hosts the property is kept to a very high standard and furnished very nicely, the only small drawback is that the bathroom was small, however it is perfectly functionable and well appointed. Breakfast is superb with plenty of choice, you definitely won't go hungry Would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying again"

"Small but beautifully fitted out room with high quality furniture, fabulous bathroom. Lovely to stay in a place with character that doesn’t look like a travelodge. Good value. Good in room snacks, lovely breakfast cooked beautifully. Lovely big bath! Alternative shower head with better flow would have been nice (it was a v large diffuse spray) and TV wall stand had the TV at a slight angle and needed replacement. But these were minor glitches. Friendly and hospitable host. Free on street parking nearby as we stayed before 1st May. Highly recommended!"

"Kirsty was an excellent host - very communicative and responsive to all requests. The cottage setting is very rural and not to far from the coast. Unfortunately we had a storm - Storm Ingrid - so we didn't get to enjoy all the walks we had planned so instead made the most of the hot tub and sauna, even in the rain which is a great selling point.The cottage facilities worked well for us as a family of 4 and a Labrador who loved the garden and countryside smells. The parking is a little unusual as there is no driveway so instead you are advised to park on a lane. Traffic can still pass on the upper corner of the lane as it's situated on a triangle but on arrival the notes were conflicting in the welcome pack with the sign located by the front door. Kirsty advised this would be updated for new guests but it's worth knowing you do get quite a lot of farm vehicles passing as stated in the VRBO description of the property, but particularly in the morning. The cottage was clean on arrival, towels were provided for the hot tub and all the beds were super comfy. The toaster was a little tricky to use so we recommended a new one as well as adding a freezer as there was only an undercounter fridge with no freezer compartment in the main cottage. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and despite Storm Ingrid making it a bit different to what we had planned, with the changes suggested above, we'd stay at Clotted Cream Cottage again. "
