"Honu Cove” is named for the majestic cove in Kauai, Hawaii. The motto there is "This is the first day of your life”. Perfect mantra for your family as you make memories that will last a lifetime while relaxing and enjoying the natural setting of Sandbridge Beach. The beautifully and fully renovated waterfront beach home is located on the prestigious north end of Sandbridge, a short 5 minute walk to the beach, and with RARE direct access to beautiful Crystal Lake and Lake Tecumseh. The open concept great room, kitchen with expansive island and dining room give you plenty of space for the whole family, or multiple families. Granite countertops and hardwood along with the tasteful appointments make this a great spot for any family with discriminating taste. Three master bedrooms each with en suite, two king and one queen, along with a queen bedroom, double bunkbed room, and sofa bed make this a perfect multigenerational vacation spot! The screen porch off the great room as well as multiple decks offer both sun and shade to meet the varied needs of your family. The outdoor shower makes clean up after going to the beach a breeze for all. The private lagune style pool complete with waterfall looking into the canals off Back Bay gives a serene mood for your week at the beach. 2 person kayak and row boat are offered to guests at no charge for exploring the canals and nearby lakes to see a variety of wildlife or for fishing. Kids will love to fish off the dock or swim in the pool while adults enjoy the pool table. Also provided at no charge are 4 adult beach cruiser bikes, 2 surf boards, multiple boogie boards, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and a cart to get your belongings to the beach, so there is something for everyone at Hone Cove!

This was a great place for our family to relax, swim, enjoy the beach and use Greg’s little boat to explore the area. Greg was very responsive in answering our questions and responding to our needs. We highly recommend it for a wonderful getaway.

A nice beach stay.

The description of the property was accurate. Nice house, nice pool, nice location. Most of the property was very clean. Bathrooms were relatively new and clean. Furniture and beds were in good shape. Nice neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. Our family likes birding and nature and the nearby wildlife refuge was very worthwhile. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. Good places to eat only twenty minutes away. Overall we had a great visit.

3 Generation Family Vacay

A week’s stay in a well purposed vacation home. It for us perfectly. 5 minute walk to a quiet, family beach. The house had all the necessary beach items for a fun stay! Highly recommend

Great place and short walk to the beach!

Our family found this home to be the perfect place for a family getaway. Whether you wanted to go to the beach, hang at the house by the pool, or fish off the dock, there was something for everyone. The house was clean and well equipped. The host was very responsive and welcoming. With only a 5 minute walk to the beach, it was the perfect location.

Awesome beach house

Our group was 4 families: 7 adults and 6 children. We had plenty of room, something for everyone — exploring the lagoon, swimming in the pool, or playing pool inside. We especially liked the screen porch, the well stocked kitchen and of course the pool

Beautiful house

Beautiful home . Everything was perfect the house was well stocked and very clean. Our granddaughter was getting married the house was only 15 mins from the venue. I would definitely rent this house again. The owner is awesome

Weekend Girls Trip

This property had everything we needed! Spacious, clean, plenty of clean towels and linens. They had a binder that included recommendations for anything you might need locally. Short walking distance to the beach and even included a beach cart, enough beach chairs for everyone, and toys for the kiddos. The pool and canal were a great bonus as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you for having us!

Family Weekend for a Wedding

Communication with Greg was great! We were able to get into the property early. Plenty of room to socialize with family. Didn't get to use the pool due to a cold windy weekend but it appeared clean. Location was close to beach and very quiet. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Would absolutely recommend this property.

Great Family Spot

We loved the location and easy access to the beach. We had a great time on the roof deck and the porch. We also spent a lot of time in the kitchen and the family room. Just be careful with the spiral staircase if staying with young children. Our one complaint is that we would have been liked to told beforehand that we'd only be supplied with one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and would have to purchase our own soap, shampoo, and dishwasher, as it would have saved multiple shopping trips. Overall, we enjoyed the layout and location of the house and thought it was well-suited for our needs.

Long Weekend

The house was amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. The location was great, it was far away from the hustle and bustle of towns but yet close enough so you don't have to drive forever to find someplace to shop or eat. The walk to the beach was short. My family loved that we were on the canal and could row to the lake. We will definitely considered this for our next Easter/Spring break trip!

Best ever

We had a fabulous stay! This was one of the nicest Vrbo rentals ever. The host was extremely attentive and gracious. Everything was as described. We had 4 generations and enjoyed the pool, the billiards, the well-stocked kitchen, the lagoon and of course the beach. The beach is one of the prettiest beaches and only a 5 minute walk. Super clean house, quiet, absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Exceeded Expectations

Outstanding property and amenities. The layout of the house can easily accommodate a large group of people without feeling crowded. The kayak and bikes were so nice to have access to without incurring an extra fee. The pool table was in constant use. Everyone that came over complimented this house compared to where they were staying. The host was very responsive and accommodating to inquiries. Truly an exceptional property and location.

Lovely property and attentive owner

This property was in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. The greenery around the property gave a feeling of privacy to the home especially the backyard/pool area. It was very clean and the owner was quick to respond to any questions. He even came midweek to clean the pool but let us know ahead of time what day and time he would be there. The house was plenty roomy enough for our extended family of 10. The screened in porch was one of our favorite places and the kids loved the pool!

Fun for everyone

We had a wonderful week in Sandbridge at this beautiful house. Greg was so helpful, accommodating, and supplied so much. The dock proved to be a constant source of entertainment for all the kids who loved catching fish and turtles. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and the provided beach cart made taking everything over so easy. Thank you so much for offering such a wonderful retreat!

Birthday weekend fun!

First time in VA beach ever and it was for my birthday weekend. Despite not having the best weather, we had a blast! The house was even nicer in person and that’s saying something because the pictures were great. It was like our own private paradise. The owner Greg was awesome and laid back. We didn’t have to reach out to him during our stays but when we had previously communicated, he was quick to respond. I would love to go back when the weather is nicer and we can use the pool and enjoy the boat & kayak more! Overall, a great stay!

Great place to stay, super helpful and available owner

The shaded pool was a hit, ie less sunburn worries. We had grandkids along ages 2, 4, 8, 10. The owner is local and available by text and so everything works, kitchen has what you expect it to have. We also paddled the kayak in the canal out to lake Tecumseh. The shed is well stocked with beach stuff. To keep the two yr old safe, the trick was to block the top of the stairs by sliding a ocean wave riding body board thru the verticals. Bottom line, I liked dealing with the owner instead of some reality service.

Solid property

Overall I would call this a solid property with some opportunities. Location was great and wonderful for families with children (no sidewalks so keep an eye on the children). Kitchen, bedrooms were very nice. Manager was very welcoming and did a nice job with the check in. Some opportunities: some of the bedding did not fit the mattresses and the bedding/towels were getting pretty dated, floors needed some better cleaning and the washing machine is a front loader and has a lot of mold on the rubber (we all get this; just needs some maintenance). These are minor things which could be remedied easily and I would upscore to a 5 if they were taken care of.

Great Quiet Location

We stayed here for a small family gathering to host a bridal luncheon. Greg was easy to communicate with and stopped by to make sure we had what we needed and give us extra info on places to go, kayaking the canal and walking to the beach. House was very clean and well stocked even with baking items like cupcake pan and juicers. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, but we really enjoyed sitting out back and watching the turtles in the canal. A spiral staircase connects the floors but a wide outdoor staircase up to the second floor right to the kitchen was convenient for carrying everything in. The screened in porch was great with comfortable furniture! Greg was flexible with check in and out times which was wonderful. I would definitely stay again!!
