気になった点 : コミュニケーション
This review is primarily about communication with the property owners/managers. We booked this property about 1.5 months in advance and we were aware that it wasn’t refundable. Approximately 6 days before our check in our little kids got sick. We had to cancel our trip to Virginia altogether and I contacted the property manager approximately 5 days before the trip to see if there is a possibility to reschedule (it was obviously not refundable) and open the dates so that someone else could have maybe book the property last minute. The communication with owners indicated that they didn’t really care about anything. First it took almost 24 hours for them to respond, and they didn’t even try to open the property and have any flexibility - their only response was that it is not refundable and they aren’t comfortable to move the date. In the past, we have rented multiple other properties, where owners had been very accommodating in similar circumstances: such as offering some kind of solutions, but for this particular property - the owners just didn’t care. Formally, the owners were doing everything according to the fact that it wasn’t refundable. However based on my experience with other properties, these owners have been the least caring for their quests. Since we weren’t staying in the property and they knew 5 days in advance I am sure there could have been something done (at least cleaning fee refund!). We would never even consider staying with them again.
