Location The "Orobie" vacation home is located in the hamlet of "Stazzona" in the municipality of Villa di Tirano. It is a typical family home, surrounded by a large fenced-in garden and offering a stunning view of the Orobie Alps. The “Orobie” vacation home is 4 km from the town of Tirano and the departure station of the famous Bernina “Trenino Rosso” (www.treninorosso.it). La s location allows for easy access to the famous tourist and ski destinations—both in winter and summer—of Livigno, Bormio, Santa Caterina Valfurva, Aprica, and Teglio.
Accommodations The recently renovated apartment is located on the first floor. It consists of a double bedroom and a bedroom with three single beds, both tastefully furnished. It also features two bathrooms with showers and a washing machine, a spacious and sunny living room, and a well-equipped kitchen with an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and coffee maker. In addition to a “manual” containing all the information needed to use the house, guests will also have access to guidebooks, brochures, and maps to help them plan their vacation.

The town Villa di Tirano is a small, picturesque town where you’ll find grocery stores with local products, a pharmacy, a newsstand, a bank, cafes, and restaurants serving traditional Valtellina cuisine. In October, the “Apple Festival” takes place, where you can enjoy the traditional flavors of the local cuisine and the warm hospitality of the Valtellina region.
A Tour of the Surrounding Area Its location makes it easy to visit the town of Tirano and its “Santuario della Madonna,” the historic center of Bormio, Teglio with “Palazzo Besta,” Grosio and its rock carvings, and other nearby towns. Further away, but still within day-trip reach, are Livigno in the duty-free zone, neighboring Switzerland with St. Moritz, and the Poschiavo Valley. Cycling enthusiasts can ride along the long “Sentiero Valtellina” trail and tackle the famous climbs of the Giro d’Italia: Santa Cristina, Mortirolo, and Stelvio.
