This hotel is perfect in location ... close to the old town but in a quiet area. The staff at the hotel were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. I definitely recommend it !!

Location is great. Hotel is old style and quaint. Staff was hit and miss. Problem with shower was noted but never fixed. Main complaint was the bed, soft and not much support. Probably would not stay here again.

Excellent location, just steps from the Vienna State Opera and wonderful shopping. The hotel has beautiful antique décor that gives it an elegant, classic Viennese atmosphere. One of the highlights was the exceptional full breakfast buffet—one of the best we enjoyed during our trip. The beautiful presentation made it feel especially memorable, with breakfast served using lovely porcelain coffee sets and crisp table linens. The unusually intense summer heat wave did seem to affect the performance of the air conditioning, although this has been a challenge in many places across Europe and around the world this summer. Overall, a beautiful and memorable hotel in an excellent location, and a wonderful place to experience the classic charm of Vienna. Definitely love to stay again.

Room service was great, location excellent and so close to all sights but it was a little noisy as we were next to the elevator. The bathroom was too small but all as expected given the age of the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Junior suite with historical style + AC and in room nespresso & lounging area - we didn't eat at the hotel, since we wanted to explore restaurants in the area, of which there are many - centrally located, which allows you to walk to most of the sight seeing areas and all of the shopping - 5 min walk to the State Opera or to the mtg point for most paid tours - many great restaurants within 1min - 10 min walk

If you really like historic old charm and small boutique hotels, this one is for you. However, the old charm doesn't translate to us to what we were looking for. The hotel is tiny with a tiny elevator, very old building, the room was spacious enough for 2 people in Vienna where rooms are small (almost all of Europe is). The 2 things that were a negative are the bathroom specifically the shower/tub combination. A very high tub yet small, with a half door that doesn't prevent water from dripping on the floor. We had to ask for more towels to dry off the floor. I asked the guy at the reception for toiletries to be replenished as the hand soap dispenser was left at a 1/4 full which doesn't scream "4 star hotel" or valuing their customers. His astonished response that they don't waste the soap so I'd have to use it until it runs out. "Waste" that's the mentality of treating their customers. The safe didn't have any instructions and we had to ask for some help as our stuff was locked. The housekeeper was the only person that was helpful and gave us new hand soap dispenser, extra towels as she understood the dilemma. The pics are very deceiving unless you like staying in an old charm room. We didn't eat breakfast and was a good advice from other travelers. The location is excellent as it is in the middle of everything shopping and restaurants. Pros: location Cons: Many see above comments. Oh, and they would turn up the AC if they make up the room. Weird. I don't recommend it!

The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect, it was close to the opera house and easy to walk through the old town. Service at the hotel was great. We highly recommend this hotel!
