The price was reasonable, the staff were always helpful, the location was exactly where we wanted to be, the beach club included chairs and a pool and the breakfast was also included. We would stay longer and we’d definitely come back. Beautiful building and clean modern rooms and classic entry lobby.

We really loved the staff and reception. We had beach access and breakfast included. That was a really nice feature. It's a little confusing in the website, but the staff were very nice and helped us gain access to the Nuova Italia beach club. Breakfast was pretty good, hot dishes like eggs, sausage and bacon, and a very nice spread of cakes and pastries. We'd stay here again, the only complaint, the beds were very hard in our room. Despite that, it was great!

Hotel Residence Esplanade has some definite positives, but our stay ultimately felt more average than the hotel’s presentation and location might suggest. The biggest advantage is the location. It’s very close to the beach and conveniently situated for getting to and from the train station, which made exploring Viareggio and the surrounding area easy. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight, with a good selection and a pleasant start to the day. Staff were generally helpful when we needed assistance, although the service could occasionally feel a little inconsistent. Our biggest frustration was the number of additional charges and limitations that weren’t particularly apparent upfront. Beach access is not included and comes at an additional charge, which was disappointing given how prominently the hotel’s seaside location is featured. There were also other fees that made the overall cost feel higher than expected. Some of the amenities were less convenient than we anticipated as well. Facilities such as the gym have limited operating hours, and the restaurant is not always available, so you can’t necessarily make use of everything when it suits your schedule. For a hotel offering these amenities as part of the overall experience, greater availability would have made a noticeable difference. Overall, Hotel Residence Esplanade benefits tremendously from its location, and the breakfast was very good. It’s a perfectly reasonable place to stay in Viareggio.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I was so disappointed with this hotel, especially for the price you pay, that I felt I had to share my experience. The location of the hotel was great and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, those were the only real positives. I would not consider this a 4-star hotel based on our experience. The rooms did not feel clean at all. We could feel sand and dirt all over the floors. Although the rooms had air conditioning, there was no way to adjust the temperature, so the rooms were incredibly hot and uncomfortable. The shower was also extremely small, with barely enough room to stand and move around. A more minor inconvenience was that none of the rooms had full-length mirrors, which made getting ready in the morning difficult. Additionally, the included breakfast was very underwhelming and nowhere near the standard I would expect. Overall, while the location is convenient and the staff was pleasant, the cleanliness, comfort, amenities, and breakfast simply did not reflect a 4-star hotel or justify the price.

Beautiful place

Can’t wait to visit this beautiful hotel. Food was good. Very impressed with the service. They left a nice Easter egg wrapped beautifully. Only thing I was less impressed was limited TV channels in English but was not bothered though.

Great location Breakfast it’s inconvenient it’s a buffet style but you need to ask for everything so it’s limited. Gym it’s not good very inconvenient limited equipment and extremely small also it’s a spa gym so it’s used for personal training and no ac so if you need to use the gym it’s not good .

Good location, very helpful and kind staff at reception, nice apartment but unfortunately with an ugly view onto the inner yard, farewell olive oil gift, but anyway services are not in line with a 4 star grade- beach just for money, no wellness, no sports possibilities in hotel as an included service, on the roof terrace no shade and no bar, the reception desk has no design it is situated quite hidden in the corner and it looks like as it were in a motel. Max. 3 stars superior grade.
