Little City Big Heart

Picture this: you pull up to a quiet street in Vergennes — Vermont's smallest and oldest city — and step into a home that's ready for the whole crew. The kitchen, dining, and living room flow together in one open space, so nobody's stuck cooking alone while everyone else hangs out. On cool evenings from fall through spring, the gas fireplace crackles while the kids disappear downstairs into their own playroom, toys and all, giving the adults a little breathing room upstairs.

When it's time to turn in, there's a bed for everyone: a queen with its own attached bathroom, a queen plus a crib for the littlest guest, a full bed, two twins for siblings or friends sharing a room, and one more full bed on the main floor for anyone who'd rather skip the stairs. Five bedrooms in all, so nobody's sleeping on a couch.

Step outside and the evening shifts gears — an outdoor kitchen and firepit means dinner and s'mores can both happen right in the backyard, no one stuck indoors while the rest of the group enjoys the fresh air.

And then there's the location: leave the car in the driveway and just walk. Downtown Vergennes is a few minutes on foot — historic Main Street shops, restaurants, the Opera House, and Otter Creek Falls tumbling right through the middle of town. Lake Champlain, Button Bay State Park, and the Maritime Museum are all a short drive away if you want to venture further, but honestly, you might not want to leave the neighborhood at all.

It's the kind of place where cousins reunite, parents actually relax, and everyone goes home already planning the next trip.

Our Home has an attached garage and a shed in the backyard- these are both off limits and not part of the rental use.

We live in a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors all around us- please just be considerate of them also

Our home is just a short walk into the heart of the city-Because we are a small city our Uber and Taxi staff are pretty slim but we do have them

We do have a nest doorbell on the front porch

During snowy weather, the road will be plowed and walkways shoveled. Because the house sits behind an open field, drifting snow is possible. A snow shovel is available (outside on the porch), along with a bucket of sand/salt for icy walkways. Please use caution on snowy or icy surfaces — access and use are at your own risk.
