Veliky Ustyug
Sukhona is a flat river, originates in the Kubensky lake and flows quietly and calmly. It was here, under the onslaught of the river, that Sukhonsky rocks were formed. Gradually digging into the thickness of the ancient Permian and Quaternary sediments, the river exposed a 70-meter layer of red clay, and white gypsum, and other mineral rocks that are hundreds of millions of years old. And all this naked "construction" fascinates with its correct, and sometimes even ideal, geometric shapes and a restrained, but expressive palette. A dense northern forest is green on the cliffs.
