"En mi opinión, este hotel difícilmente es cuatro estrellas, no cinco como dice Orbitz, en la habitación tenía un sillón ruido en la parte del descanso de los brazos. La limpieza de la habitación pésima no lo recomiendo porque es un fraude de qué es cinco estrellas, le comenté al manager y estaba tan apenado que quería darme un Upgrade que ya no acepté, además para desayunar únicamente tienen Bufette que vale €36 por persona. Si quieres un desayuno continental no tiene lo cual es ridículo"

"It was a very nice and modern apartment in a quiet area, with fast wifi and all the necessities. Great bathroom and furnishings. Nice little patio and free coffee pods with creamer -- excellent (other than the eternal plastic waste). You may have to hunt for information sometimes, like where the laundry room is (in the garage, available for guests after 15:30). Overall, it's a great option for the area. Pro tip: Weeknight prices are much cheaper than weekends. I saw a review complaining about the staff, but the cleaning lady was very friendly to me and helpful. She was generous with supply refills and towels. The electric blackout curtains and firm mattress were amazing for me. You can make the entire apartment pitch black in daytime with the press of a few buttons -- incredibly helpful for restful sleep. Bravo! Closing the windows cuts out nearly all outdoor noise, which is generally low anyway. My upstairs neighbors stomped around sometimes, which was a bit loud even with concrete ceilings/floors. This is unfortunately common and a matter of luck. Otherwise, it was very peaceful and a great place to rest or get work done. I would stay here again."

"Great hotel with an excellent location in downtown Budapest, walking distance to historical landmarks and the Danube River. Great selection of breakfast included. Great staff, no noise coming from outside the hotel to the rooms, and very comfortable beds."

"From the outside, the hotel looks a bit dated but it was bright and modern inside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options available each morning. We also enjoyed using the spa which was well maintained. Our room was a good size. The only downside was that the air conditioning was difficult to work and there was no instruction manual provided so our room was very hot. We were on the second floor facing the car park and we would get cigarette smoke coming in through our open window, as people would smoke close to the building and it would drift up. Location-wise, it is a little bit away from the city centre but it’s a pleasant 40 minute walk along the Danube, or the nearest metro is a 10 minute walk away. Overall, I would stay here again!"

"My review echoes many others — Waterfront City Apartments in Budapest are a fantastic place to stay, but the experience feels like a long-stay escape room. The apartment itself was great: clean, well-decorated, comfortable, and clearly well managed. Once you’re in, it’s hard to fault. However, the check-in process is far more complicated than it needs to be. There are multiple codes for different parts — building, room, and parking — and the buildings aren’t clearly marked. Some even share the same codes, which led to confusion and people trying the wrong buildings or rooms. Communication was also extremely difficult as there is no on-site reception team, making it hard to get help when needed and adding to the frustration on arrival. Parking was another challenge. I emailed weeks in advance, followed up with calls, and still had to ring on the day. The fob we were given didn’t match the instructions, so we ended up parking elsewhere and figuring it out ourselves. Staff were mixed — the daytime team were helpful, but the night staff during check-in came across as quite abrupt. A few small touches would help: two tea bags and two coffees for four people over four days wasn’t enough, and nothing was restocked. Overall, the accommodation is excellent once settled. I’d stay again, but only knowing the effort needed beforehand."

The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which really improves the overall experience. However, dining at the bar was quite disappointing. It was almost impossible to enjoy a proper meal there, and it felt like frozen, low-quality food was simply being reheated."
